Brian Shaw’s net worth is estimated at $4 million as of November 2026. He won his own contest in 2023 and handed his $95,983 first prize to the other athletes, having done the same in 2020. The four-time World’s Strongest Man has, by our estimate, made more of his money from sponsors and a 543 million-view YouTube channel than from lifting. Prize money in this sport is smaller than the men who win it.

How much is Brian Shaw worth in 2026?

We land on $4 million, inside a range of $2.5 million to $7 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. Prize purses are public for a few events. His sponsor contracts, channel income and company accounts are not.

Public estimates vary widely, and we found no documents behind the higher ones. High figures tend to treat career income as if he had kept all of it, skipping tax and the cost of running a contest that he says lost money.

How Brian Shaw built it

  • Gave away his winnings. He won his own contest in 2023 and handed the $95,983 first prize to the other athletes.
  • Built a channel while competing. His SHAWSTRENGTH YouTube channel has about 2.31 million subscribers and 543 million views.
  • Closed the contest in 2026. After a loss in 2025, he said in May 2026 it would not return for the foreseeable future.

How we got to $4 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Career prize money $1 million Our assumption. A World’s Strongest Man win paid a reported $50,000 in 2020 and $75,000 by 2024, so four titles come to at most $300,000. We assume $700,000 more from his other wins, 30 in all and from placings.
Sponsors and appearances $2.3 million Our assumption: $150,000 a year for the 15 years from 2008 to 2023. No contract is public.
YouTube $2.2 million Our assumption: 543.46 million views and about 2.31 million subscribers on an October 2026 count, with the views at $4 per 1,000.
Undefined Nutrition and Evolution Athletics $1.2 million Our assumption: half of $2.4 million in lifetime sales. A public biography lists him as owner of both, and we found no revenue figure. We treat this as his share after the companies’ own costs and tax, so it sits outside the tax row below.
Losses on the Shaw Classic minus $0.2 million Our assumption on size. He said in 2025 that he and his wife were taking a loss and adding their own money and gave no amount.
Tax and living costs minus $2.5 million Our assumption: 45 percent of the $5.5 million in prizes, sponsors and YouTube.
Total $4 million This is household money: he ran the contest with his wife, and we do not split it.

His contest paid out almost as much as his career

Add up the listed Shaw Classic prize pools from 2020 to 2025: $53,900, $100,000, $150,000, $251,932, $263,200 and $178,750. By our calculation that is $997,782, about the same as the $1 million we credit him with winning across his whole career. Sponsors and tickets funded much of those pools, so it isn’t all his money, but the comparison says something about the economics of the sport.

The two purses he refused make the point sharper. His 2023 prize was $95,983. In 2020 the winner’s share wasn’t published, but second place took $12,100, so the winner’s cut was at least that. Together that is at least $108,083, or about 11 percent of our career prize estimate, given away. Even a perfect season doesn’t pay like other sports: one 2024 tally by two rival strongmen put winning every major contest at $651,793.

The show closed in May 2026

The prize pool fell to about $180,000 in 2025 after topping $260,000 in 2024, with Shaw saying sponsorship, tickets and livestream sales all dropped. Mitchell Hooper had banked $100,016 for the 2024 win. The 2025 winner got $68,400.

On May 18, 2026, Shaw said on his podcast that the Shaw Classic wouldn’t return for the foreseeable future and that the equipment would be sold off. He’s still competing in a smaller way: he lost an arm wrestling match 3 to 2 on April 18, 2026, having moved to the sport after his last pro strongman contest in 2023.

What would move the figure

Ending the contest should stop the losses, and selling the kit brings in a little cash. The larger swing is the two brands: published revenue, or a sale, could easily move our $1.2 million row more than anything else on this page.
