How much is Hafthor Bjornsson Worth? Hafthor Bjornsson Net Worth in 2026
Hafthor Bjornsson’s net worth is estimated at $5 million as of November 2026. In May 2026 one deadlift was reportedly worth $250,000 to him, more than our $216,000 tally for his three Arnold Strongman Classic wins put together, and he missed it. Bjornsson, The Mountain from Game of Thrones and the 2018 World’s Strongest Man, seems to have made far more from brands and sponsors than from lifting things for prize money.

How much is Hafthor Bjornsson worth in 2026?
We land on $5 million, inside a range of $3 million to $10 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. We found one prize figure with his name on it and no accounts for any of his companies, no HBO pay and no sponsor contracts. Everything else in the table below is our assumption, labelled as one.
Public estimates run from about $2 million to about $15 million. The low ones seem to count only prizes and acting. The high ones appear to treat headline purses and sponsor money as if he kept all of it, with no Icelandic tax and no cost of feeding a man who stands 6 ft 9 in.
How Hafthor Bjornsson built it
- Built brands while still competing. He co-founded Icelandic Mountain Vodka in 2016, when he was still winning titles.
- Chased paydays beyond prize money. He took a boxing match billed at seven figures and a solo record attempt at the 2026 Enhanced Games.
- Competed for more than 15 years. From his 2009 debut he logged 61 first places in 106 competitions.

All rows are after tax. We assume he keeps 60 percent of one-off pay. His living costs sit inside the sponsor row, which keeps half.
| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Strongman prizes | $502,000 | Fitness Volt listed $72,000 for his 2020 Arnold win. We assume the same for 2018 and 2019, or $216,000. A strongman told Joe Rogan the World’s Strongest Man winner gets a flat $50,000. His other 57 first places get an assumed $10,000 each, $570,000. That is $836,000, and 60 percent is about $502,000. |
| Boxing | $400,000 | Both fighters called the Eddie Hall purse seven figures, Fitness Volt reported. It was never disclosed. We assume $1 million gross, keep 60 percent, then cut a third because the terms never came out. |
| Acting | $120,000 | Assumption: $200,000 gross, kept at 60 percent, across five Game of Thrones seasons and films including The Northman. No pay figure is public. |
| Sponsors, YouTube, appearances | $2 million | Assumption: $400,000 a year for ten years, half kept after tax, staff, training and living. Rogue sells a THOR bar and shirts and he has fronted SodaStream, but no contract value is public. |
| His own brands | $1.75 million | Assumption, since we could open no accounts: $500,000 each for Thor’s Power Gym and the family’s Thor’s Power Apparel, $400,000 for Icelandic Mountain Vodka, co-founded in 2016, and $350,000 for Thor’s Skyr, which has three other named co-founders. |
| Enhanced Games, 2026 | $150,000 | Assumption: $250,000 gross for appearing, kept at 60 percent. The organisers promised record pay and gave no amounts. The record bonus isn’t counted, since he missed. |
| Total | $5 million | Rows add to $4.92 million, rounded. |
Five more kilos, $250,000
Bjornsson set the deadlift record at 510 kg in 2025. Before the Enhanced Games in Las Vegas on May 24, 2026, Fitness Volt reported he would receive $250,000 for a new record, with 515 kg as the target. We found that bonus in one report only. By our math, that is $50,000 for each extra kilo. It is also 3.5 times what the 2020 Arnold paid him ($250,000 divided by $72,000).
Netzwelt reported that the 515 kg attempt failed. He tried again at Enhanced Breakers 1 in Los Angeles, and Generation Iron reported in July 2026 that he made 425 kg and 470 kg, then dropped 511 kg at knee height.
61 wins, about $13,700 each
Strength sport pays badly at the top. Our $836,000 of gross prize money, spread across 61 first places in 106 competitions, is about $13,700 per win by our calculation. After tax, prizes come to about 10 percent of our total ($502,000 of $4.92 million). Being very large on HBO, with a shirt line and a vodka, did more for the bank balance than the trophies did. The first of those paid an unknown sum, which is why the range is wide.
What would move the figure
A completed record would add $250,000 before tax, if that bonus still stands. Enhanced Ltd agreed a deal in November 2025 to list through a SPAC, which its release described as pending SEC review, and any shares he received would matter more than prizes, though nothing we opened says he holds any. Published accounts for the gym or the vodka could replace our two softest rows.
