Cara Delevingne is an English fashion model and actress and her current net worth is $23 million.
Born in Hammersmith, London, as the daughter of Pandora Anne Devevigne and Charles Hamar Delevingne, she grew up in Belgravia, London.
She and her two sisters are goddaughters of Conde Nast executive, Nicholas Coleridge, and of actress Joan Collins.
Growing up she attended Francis Holland School for Girls in central London, until she turned 16 years old. After that, she moved to Bedales School in Hampshire.
Throughout her childhood she struggled with dyspraxia, which made her school years a bit challenging.
Upon relocating to Bedales School to focus on drama and music, she dropped out to follow a career in modeling just like her sister, Poppy.
How did Cara get famous?
Her career as a model began at the age of ten in an editorial shot by Bruce Weber for Vogue Italia.
At 17 years old she signed with Storm Model Management after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm, who also discovered Kate Moss, discovered her.
Then she used to work as a model for a year before getting a paying job. She went through two seasons of castings before getting her first runway show.
Her fame grew after Burberry’s Christopher Bailey approached her. Back then she used to work part-time in the office of a fashion website.
Thanks to Bailey she appeared in the Burberry’s spring/summer 2011 campaign.
She made her first catwalk appearance at the February 2011 London Fashion Week, when she walked for Burberry Prorsum autumn/winter collection.
She ended a great season at the Paris Fashion Week, where she walked in seven shows for brands like Nina Ricci, Stella McCartney, Kenzo and Chanel.
Around the same period, she started a close relationship with Chanel’s Head Designer and Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld.
