Deepak Chopra’s net worth is estimated at $55 million as of November 2026. Here is the odd part: a three-bedroom apartment in the Manhattan building where he lives was listed at nearly four times what a buyer’s SEC filing recorded for the digital, licensing and consumer products arms of Chopra Global in 2023. On our numbers, most of his money never sat in the company. It came from book royalties and from a lecture fee that was already $25,000 in 2005.

How much is Deepak Chopra worth in 2026?

We estimate Deepak Chopra is worth about $55 million, with a range of $30 million to $100 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. The sale of his company’s digital, licensing and products arms is on file with the SEC and the sales figure for ten of his books comes from his publisher, but royalty rates, tax and how much he kept are our assumptions.

Public estimates run well above ours, mainly because they count what passes through his businesses and skip what leaves. Author Paul Offit wrote that the business grossed about $20 million a year. Thirty years at that pace is $600 million of revenue, which tells you almost nothing about what remains after staff, venues, tax and giving.

How Deepak Chopra built it

  • Wrote more than ninety books. His publisher counts more than ninety titles, and ten of them sold over 30 million copies.
  • Charged for the stage. A 2005 figure put his fee at $25,000 to $30,000 per lecture, five or six times a month.
  • Sold three business arms in 2023. A buyer's filing recorded $3.71 million for Chopra Global's digital, licensing and products arms.

How we got to $55 million

The first three rows are pre-tax earnings. The next two show what leaves, and the last shows what the remainder earned.

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Book royalties $45 million 30 million copies across ten titles, per his publisher’s Rider Classics series, at an assumed $1.50 a copy. The other 80 or more titles are left out to offset any cheaper foreign editions.
Speaking $36 million Our assumption: about $1.8 million a year for 20 years, the midpoint of the 2005 pace described below.
Wellness businesses and the 2023 sale $15 million Our assumption: about $13 million from a 4 percent margin on $16.7 million a year of other revenue for 20 years (the $20 million reported, less our book and lecture rates), plus about $2 million as his 60 percent assumed share of the $3.71 million sale.
Tax minus $38.4 million Our assumption: 40 percent of the $96 million above.
Living costs and giving minus $30 million Our assumption: $1 million a year for 30 years, including his foundation, founded in 2009.
Returns on what he kept $27.6 million Our assumption: the $27.6 million left after the two rows above doubled over three decades. No account statements are public.
Total $55 million Rounded from $55.2 million. Rough estimate. The condo described below is paid for out of this total, not added to it.

A $14.5 million condo and a $3.71 million company

By June 2019 Chopra Global had investors including Alice Walton and Ray Chambers. Less than four years later, on March 3, 2023, an SEC filing shows The Healing Company buying the business, with Chopra named as the seller’s majority member. The headline read “up to $5 million in cash”, plus 1.4 million shares and up to three $1 million earnouts.

The pro forma filing is less grand. It gives $3.5 million of cash and a total consideration of $3.71 million. A footnote values the shares at $1.4 million, which doesn’t reconcile with that total, so we use the lower figure. The earnouts required revenue above $5.9 million, $11 million and $15 million in successive measurement periods. We found no filing showing they were paid, so we count none of them.

Press reports from February 2014 said he paid $14.5 million for a unit at the Delos building on East 11th Street. We could read those only in excerpts because the original pages blocked us, so treat his price as unconfirmed. CityRealty listed three-bedroom apartments there at $14.5 million to $15 million, and 6sqft later said he lived in the building. By our calculation, $14.5 million divided by $3.71 million is 3.9. The apartment alone is also about 26 percent of our $55 million total. We found no later sale record, so we carry it at the old price and assume he still owns it.

The $25,000 lecture and the book that sold 400,000 in a week

Wikipedia’s entry cites a 2005 figure of $25,000 to $30,000 per lecture, five or six times a month. We work out that as $1.5 million a year at the low end (60 talks) and $2.16 million at the high end (72 talks), or about $1.8 million at the midpoint. That is a 2005 rate. We have no current fee schedule, and we don’t assume he kept that pace after turning 80 on October 22, 2026.

Books are the better-documented side. The same entry says Ageless Body, Timeless Mind sold a reported 137,000 copies in 24 hours and 400,000 by the end of the week in 1993, and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success spent 72 weeks on the New York Times list. His publisher now counts more than ninety books. Bloomberg Government called Digital Dharma his 95th in September 2024.

He has not stopped publishing. Awakening came out from Rider in December 2025, the latest dated event we could confirm tied to his income, though we found no reported advance.

Three things would move the figure: a sale of the condo, proof the earnouts were paid, or a real royalty number. At $1 a copy instead of $1.50, the first row falls by $15 million, and the total falls by about $18 million once less tax and less doubling are carried through.
