Ellen Pompeo is an American actress and producer and her current net worth is $40 million.
Born in Everett, Massachusetts, she is the daughter of Kathleen B. and Joseph E. Pompeo. At the age of five, her mother died of a painkiller overdose, and her father remarried soon after.
The actress has five siblings, three sisters and two brothers. Before moving to New York City with her boyfriend, fashion photographer Andrew Rosenthal, she used to work as a bartender.
While in New York, a casting director approached her to appear in commercials for Citibank and L’Oreal.
