How much is Nik Storonsky worth in 2026?

We estimate Nik Storonsky’s net worth at $28.4 billion. Public estimates differ by billions. Some still use the $75 billion of 2025, some use older valuations of $45 billion, and some count a long-term incentive plan that has not paid out. We use the July 2026 sale price, take 29 percent, and cut it for the fact that a founder cannot sell like a fund can. The $115 billion is a report, not a company statement, and the stake is from a December 2025 report, so treat this as a good estimate and not a measurement.

How Nik Storonsky built it

  • Funded it himself first. He put about 300,000 pounds of his own savings into the project in 2013.
  • Kept a big stake. He held 29% in December 2025 after the incentive structure changed.
  • Tied pay to growth. A long-term plan gives him up to 10% more if Revolut reaches a $200 billion valuation.

How we got to $28.4 billion

Source Our estimate What it rests on
29% stake in Revolut $33.4 billion Wikipedia records that he held 29% as of December 2025. Tech.eu reported on July 22, 2026 that a secondary share sale was reportedly priced at a $115 billion valuation, and that Revolut confirmed the sale but not the valuation. 29% of $115 billion is $33.35 billion.
Minus discount for a private founder holding Minus $5.0 billion Our assumption, about 15%, for the lack of a daily market, the tax on any sale and the difference between a founder’s shares and the shares investors bought.
London residence $0.03 billion He bought a West London home in 2019 for about $25 million, the only separately documented asset.
Total About $28.4 billion $33.35 – $5.0 + $0.03 billion.

The stake is the whole story; the house is a rounding error.

£300,000 against $1.15 billion a percentage point

Wikipedia says he put about £300,000 of his own savings into the project in 2013, two years before Revolut was founded as a company in July 2015. Here is our calculation. At 1.3397 dollars to the pound, the rate on October 30, 2026, that is about $400,000. If the stake stayed at 29% and the company is worth $115 billion, each percentage point he holds is worth $1.15 billion, so his opening money equals roughly one 2,900th of a single percentage point at today’s price.

$45 billion to $115 billion in two years

Secondary sales priced Revolut at $45 billion in 2024 and $75 billion in 2025, and the July 2026 sale is reported at $115 billion. On a 29% stake, that is $13 billion, $21.75 billion and $33.35 billion on paper, a gain of about $20 billion over 2024. A founder cannot spend a valuation; he can borrow against it or sell a small piece, and we found no report that he did either. Employees were the sellers named in the 2026 sale.

The pay plan that is not in our number

He could receive up to another 10% of the shares if Revolut reaches a valuation of $200 billion, under a long-term incentive package. We leave it out because it is a bet on a number the company has not reached. For scale: 10% of $200 billion is $20 billion, and a 39% holding at that valuation would be $78 billion.

What happened in 2026

On January 27, 2026 Revolut launched full banking operations in Mexico, and on March 11, 2026 it received a full UK banking licence, as the Wikipedia entry records. In April the Financial Times reportedly put a target IPO valuation at $150 to $200 billion, per the same entry; that is a target, not a price, so we leave it out.

What would move the figure

The final price of the 2026 secondary sale, an IPO, or a new report on his stake. Each $10 billion of valuation moves our estimate by about $2.5 billion ($10 billion times 29 percent, less the 15 percent discount). A return to $75 billion would take it to about $18.5 billion, and a $150 billion valuation to about $37 billion, on the same discount.

We take 29% of the reported $115 billion valuation, subtract an assumed 15% discount and add a documented 2019 home purchase.
