PV Sindhu’s net worth is estimated at $28 million as of November 2026, or about ?265 crore. Playing badminton accounted for about 1.4 percent of the $7.1 million Forbes listed for her in 2024. How much is PV Sindhu worth in 2026?
Our figure is $28 million, in a range of $15 million to $40 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. The earnings figures are press estimates, and we have no filing that shows her contracts, her agency’s cut or her tax bill. We converted rupees at 94.81 to the dollar, the rate on November 3, 2026.
Public estimates disagree sharply, and the lowest we saw come to less than one good year on the earnings lists. We count her money only: Venkata Datta Sai, whom she married in December 2024, has his own business interests and none of them are here.
How PV Sindhu built it
- Turned a silver into sponsors. Before Rio sponsors asked who she was. By 2018 Forbes listed about $8 million off court.
- Took a stake in a brand. She joined the wellness brand Hoop as an investor and ambassador in May 2024.
- Fought back into the top 10. She returned to the world top 10 in June 2026 after about 31 months out.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Endorsements and prize money | $54.5 million | Forbes lists give $8.5 million, $5.5 million, $7.2 million and $7.1 million for three years, or $42.5 million over six lists. Assumption: $4 million for each of 2020, 2025 and 2026, years with no list we could find. |
| Agency commission | minus $10.9 million | Assumption: 20 percent of the row above. Baseline Ventures handles her commercial interests, and its terms aren’t public. |
| Income tax | minus $17 million | Assumption: 39 percent of the $43.6 million left. |
| Cash awards | $1.8 million | About ?13 crore after Rio, plus about ?4.15 crore listed after the 2019 worlds and Tokyo. That’s ?17.15 crore at 94.81. We assume no further tax. |
| Land and cars | $1.5 million | Assumption. Two state governments gave her land and she received BMWs, but no values are published. |
| Spending and training | minus $6 million | Assumption: $600,000 a year for 10 years, since Rio. |
| Investment returns | $4 million | Assumption: about $10 million invested on average for 10 years at 4 percent a year after tax, without compounding. |
| Total | $27.9 million | Rows sum to $27.9 million, which we round to $28 million. Press lists and our assumptions carry nearly all of it. |
The racket pays 1.4 percent
Forbes gives on-court pay in round numbers, and the 2024 list had her at about $0.1 million of $7.1 million. By our calculation that is 1.4 percent. The 2021 list was $0.2 million of $7.2 million, or 2.8 percent, and even in the 2018 report, a strong year, winnings of $500,000 were under 6 percent of $8.5 million. She ranked 17th among women athletes in 2024 with those numbers. Coco Gauff led at $34.4 million.
The largest deal anyone has priced is smaller than it sounds. A 2019 report put her Li-Ning contract at ?48 crore over four years, including ?5 crore of equipment, so about ?43 crore in money. That’s ?10.75 crore a year, or about $1.1 million at today’s rate, and about 16 percent of $7 million in off-court income. The same report said she earned more than ?30 crore a year from sponsors in total, or about $3.2 million at today’s rate. Rupee rates in 2019 were different, but the point stands: the documented deals are a good deal thinner than the lists. This is why our low end is $15 million.
The fee helps explain the rest. Her agent quoted about $178,000 a day around 2017, second in India only to Virat Kohli. At that rate $7 million is about 39 days of work a year, by our math, fitted in around a tour.
What a silver medal paid
Rio changed her price overnight. Baseline’s managing director said that before the Games, sponsors would ask “Sindhu who?” Afterward came ?13 crore in cash awards, against the ?70 lakh the same report says gold medalist Carolina Marin received from Spain. The awards list also includes a government job, a Mahindra Thar and land. None of that shows up on an earnings list.
She has also started to own a little of what she advertises. In May 2024 she joined the wellness brand Hoop as an investor and ambassador. The stake has no public value, so it gets no row of its own.
What would move the number
Forbes hasn’t named her on a list we could find since 2024, and that’s the biggest unknown. Our assumed $4 million for 2025 and 2026 could easily be off by $2 million either way. Form helps: she returned to the world top 10 on June 2, 2026, after about 31 months out, and by the French Open in October, ranked 11th, she had reached four World Tour semifinals this year. A published valuation of a stake like Hoop, or a new long-term equipment contract, would also change this page.
