How much is Ravindra Jadeja worth in 2026?

Our figure is $22 million, or about ?208 crore at ?94.7 to the dollar on November 3, 2026. The range runs from $15 million to $30 million because the biggest unknown, his endorsement money, has no public contract behind it. The brand income and everything after tax are our assumptions, and the ledger says so row by row.

Public estimates tend to land lower. A common one of ?120 crore dates from 2024-25, so it can’t include his ?14 crore fee for 2026, and those pages rarely show what they assumed about tax.

How Ravindra Jadeja built it

  • Took a pay cut to move. He accepted ₹14 crore instead of ₹18 crore a season when Chennai traded him to Rajasthan.
  • Stayed in demand for 18 years. His IPL contracts run from a ₹12 lakh deal in 2008 to a ₹18 crore fee in 2025.
  • Kept playing every format he could. He has 89 Tests, 210 ODIs and 74 T20Is on record, each paying its own match fee.

How we got to $22 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
IPL contracts, career $16.6 million (?157 crore) Business Today, citing a Hurun India and Fanatic Sports study, put his IPL earnings at ?157 crore in May 2026, fourth on the all-time list. The report doesn’t say if the 2026 fee is in that total, so we don’t add it.
BCCI retainers $5.5 million (?52 crore) Grade A+ paid ?7 crore in the March 2023 list. Assumption: three seasons at ?7 crore, ?5 crore for 2025-26 (Grade A’s 2023 rate, as the February 2026 list shows no amounts), and ?2 crore a season for the 13 seasons before that.
International match fees $3.0 million (?28 crore) 89 Tests, 210 ODIs and 74 T20Is at the BCCI’s ?15 lakh, ?6 lakh and ?3 lakh. This is a ceiling: earlier years paid less.
Endorsements $12.7 million (?120 crore) Eight named brands, no fees disclosed. Assumption: ?1.25 crore per brand, so ?10 crore a year for 12 years.
Income tax minus $13.2 million (?125 crore) Assumption: 35 percent of the ?357 crore above.
Living costs and assets used minus $7.6 million (?72 crore) Assumption: ?4 crore a year for 18 years. A palace-style Jamnagar home and a Rolls-Royce are on the record, without prices.
Returns on savings $5.1 million (?48 crore) Assumption: ?160 crore saved evenly over 18 years, growing 3 percent a year, reaches ?208 crore. Below market returns on purpose, because most of the money arrived late.
Total $22 million (?208 crore) Rows sum to $22.1 million, rounded.

This is a rough estimate overall: of the seven rows, only the IPL total, the match fee rates and two retainer rates come from published numbers.

The ?4 crore pay cut, in real money

The IPL’s trade notice of November 15, 2025 sent Jadeja from Chennai to Rajasthan and cut his fee from ?18 crore to ?14 crore, while Sanju Samson moved the other way at his full ?18 crore. The notice gives no reason.

By our calculation the cut costs less than the headline. ?4 crore less 35 percent tax is ?2.6 crore a season, or about $275,000 at today’s rate. That is about 1.25 percent of his net worth per year. Across the ledger, the IPL is ?157 crore of ?357 crore in gross pay, which is 44 percent, so it remains the largest single line even after the cut.

A tie-break in 2012

The move that set up his fortune came at the 2012 auction. The IPL’s round-up records a $100,000 base price, a tie at $2 million between Chennai and Deccan, and Chennai winning a silent bid. Chennai spent its whole purse on one player. He stayed until 2025, apart from two Gujarat Lions seasons.

2026: top grade, new team, older rate

On February 9, 2026, the BCCI dropped its A+ tier and placed Jadeja in Grade A with Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah, for a contract year that ended on September 30, 2026. That list named no pay, so we kept the older ?5 crore rate and labelled it. He stopped playing T20 internationals in 2024, and his last Test on record is from November 2025.

Three things would move the number: the retainer in the next BCCI list, whatever Rajasthan pays him after 2026, and how long the match fees continue. The IPL matters most by far: ?14 crore divided by a ?15 lakh Test fee is about 93 Tests, by our math, so one IPL season pays more than all 89 of his Tests would at today’s rate.
