10 People Who Became Famous Because of the Internet

The internet can make wonders. It can either rise someone up or it can put it down forever.

The media keeps an eye for the celebrities and everything spicy in their life; they also promote other less worthy candidates.

For example, they care about the celebrities who got famous for no reason or the ones who are famous because of their parents.

Either way, each “celebrity” they chose to rise from nothing is making them money. While the other celebrities who are really worth it, no one even cares about them.

But let’s see those people who got famous because of the Internet help them!

N10. Lydia Callis

This girl, OMG! She is the one that was tasked with signing New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s speech in preparation of Hurricane Sandy.

You would think that sign language is something you know when you work in the area, and it’s definitely something you don’t expect becoming famous for.

But this girl did. Her animated signing caught the attention of more than just one worried resident.

Lydia did not like the attention her sign language brought her. Stating her job was to “interpret the news, not make it,” that didn’t stop images of her facial expressions making the rounds on the Internet through Tumblr and Twitter.
