Pharrell Williams and Adidas Originals Reveal Jacquard Collection
Pharrell Williams and Adidas Originals are doing it again!
Because their last collaboration “Supercolor” was a huge success, Adidas and Pharrell team up again for a new collection.
Adidas Originals has revealed a sneak peak of its upcoming “Jacquard” Stan Smith capsule collection featuring the producer/musician.
The three colorways will be released alongside a series of track jackets, all of which will be adorned with embroidered, floral-detailed patterns.
To design the collection, the American rapper got his inspiration from two vintage floral unisex jackets that he came across on a trip to Paris’ Marché Saint Pierre, located at the foot of Montmartre’s Sacre-Coeur church.
As part of the 2015 Spring/Summer line, Pharrell has given a sophisticated touch to the Superstar track jackets as well as Stan Smith shoes.
Both pieces are made in Germany from European materials and are decked with Jacquard embroidered floral prints in two lavish color combinations of turquoise and beige.
The redesigned Stan Smith shoes feature Pharrell branding at the heel tab along with a colorful custom insole and the signature perforated adidas three stripes.
With this collection, adidas x Pharrell proved us once more than great things can come if you work in a team. And what a team!
According to WWD, the jackets feature a fit with cropped length, non-raglan sleeves, and a slightly wider cut across the chest.
The jackets are priced at $854 and only 200 pieces will be available. The sport shoes have a price tag of $205.
The collection, which is the fourth since the casual sports clothing brand and the singer joined hands, will be available starting May 30 in Adidas Originals flagships, select Adidas boutiques and on adidas.com.
We hope that Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals will continue their partnership and will come up with even greater things.
If you want to check their previous collection, we did a story about that too. You can check it here.
The collection is obviously not for anyone, considering the price tag but also the design. Not anyone will have the guts to wear something with such bold prints.
Would you have the courage to wear the Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals’ Jacquard collection?
