Tom Cruise is the richest typecast movie star in 2026, at about $650 million by our estimate, ahead of Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. We rank them by our own estimates as of October 2026, built from box-office totals, reported deals and earnings history.

|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tom Cruise | about $650 million |

| 3 | Jack Nicholson | about $400 million |
| 4 | Sylvester Stallone | about $350 million |
| 5 | Jennifer Aniston | about $300 million |
| 6 | Morgan Freeman | about $200 million |
| 7 | Angelina Jolie | about $200 million |

| 9 | Will Ferrell | about $150 million |
| 10 | Seth Rogen | about $80 million |
1. Tom Cruise: Net worth about $650 million (our estimate)
Tom Cruise is the action hero with a single recurring job: the star who does his own stunts. His films have grossed over $13.3 billion worldwide, he holds the Guinness record for the most consecutive $100 million films (eleven, released between 2012 and 2025), and Top Gun: Maverick, which he also produced, earned more than $1 billion.
How we valued it: Producer and lead-actor income from a very long run of franchise hits. Contracts are private, so the total is our estimate.
2. Adam Sandler: Net worth about $450 million (our estimate)
Adam Sandler plays the lovable man-child, and audiences keep paying to see it. He formed Happy Madison Productions in 1999, signed a four-film Netflix deal in 2014, and in 2021 a new four-movie deal worth over $250 million. His net worth was estimated at $420 million in 2020, and his Netflix films since then, including Happy Gilmore 2 (2025), added to that.
How we valued it: A 2020 estimate of $420 million, plus the reported 2021 Netflix deal and films released since. The total is our estimate.
3. Jack Nicholson: Net worth about $400 million (our 2015 estimate, unchanged)
Jack Nicholson built a career on charismatic, menacing outsiders, from The Shining to Batman (1989) and The Departed. His fortune was made largely in the 1980s and 1990s, and we have no newer deal figure, so we keep our earlier estimate.
How we valued it: Kept at our earlier estimate with its 2015 date, since no newer figure is available.
4. Sylvester Stallone: Net worth about $350 million (our estimate)
Sylvester Stallone wrote the role of Rocky Balboa for himself in 1976, then played John Rambo across five films from 1982 to 2019 and led The Expendables series. From the mid-1980s to the late 1990s he was one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors.
How we valued it: Decades of top fees, writing credits and franchise income. Our estimate.
5. Jennifer Aniston: Net worth about $300 million (our estimate)
Jennifer Aniston became Rachel Green on Friends and has been the romantic-comedy lead ever since. She has consistently ranked among the world’s highest-paid actresses, her films have grossed over $1.6 billion, and she returned to TV in 2019 as star and producer of The Morning Show.
How we valued it: Friends earnings, film fees and producer income. Our estimate.
6. Morgan Freeman: Net worth about $200 million (our estimate)
Morgan Freeman is the wise mentor and the voice of documentaries, from The Shawshank Redemption to March of the Penguins. He co-founded Revelations Entertainment, which adds producing income to his acting and narration work.
How we valued it: Acting and narration fees plus producer income. Our estimate.
7. Angelina Jolie: Net worth about $200 million (our estimate)
Angelina Jolie became the tough, glamorous action lead with Lara Croft and kept it up in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Wanted. Her films have grossed over $6.9 billion, and she was Hollywood’s highest-paid actress several times, commanding $15 to $20 million per film in 2008.
How we valued it: Fees at the top of the actress scale for roughly a decade, plus film income since. Our estimate.
8. Al Pacino: Net worth about $185 million (our earlier estimate)
Al Pacino is forever Michael Corleone, and he returned to intense, volcanic characters in Scent of a Woman, for which he won the Best Actor Oscar.
How we valued it: Kept at our earlier estimate, since no newer deal figure is available.
9. Will Ferrell: Net worth about $150 million (our estimate)
Will Ferrell is the loud, clueless man at the center of Anchorman, Elf and Step Brothers. A Saturday Night Live cast member from 1995 to 2002, he co-launched Funny or Die in 2007 and is a member of the Frat Pack.
How we valued it: Lead comedy fees, producing and his Funny or Die stake. Our estimate.
10. Seth Rogen: Net worth about $80 million (our estimate)
Seth Rogen plays the lovable stoner in Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and Superbad. He is also a writer, producer and director, a cannabis entrepreneur, and has won five Primetime Emmy Awards.
How we valued it: Acting, writing and producing income plus his cannabis brand. Our estimate.
