The next intelligent model is Iman.
David Bowie is one lucky man for sure. Not only his wife is a world-wide known model, but she’s got the brains! Iman was born in Somali, and studied five languages and political science at the University of Nairobi.
A role model for all the black women in the industry and all over the world, Iman was working as a translator to earn money for he studies, when a photographer discovered her.
Her elegance, and the signature neck and high forehead made her famous. Iman was an icon in the 90’s when she was:
“helping to open the door to black and minority women who wanted to enter the modeling industry.”
She wanted to be a Chemical Engineer ->
