She was discovered when a photographer asked to take her photo while riding a horse. The photo somehow found its was to a modeling agency marking the beginning of her career.
Today, she is one of the country’s most successful model, best known for her collaboration with Calvin Klein, Maybelline and Georgio Armani, appearing on more than 300 magazine covers.
She was also declared as the “Face of the 20th century” by the Metropolitan Museum of Arts for her perfect features.
In the present she is an entrepreneur and an activist,focusing on her charity Every Mother Counts, and is happily married to actor-filmmaker Edward Burns since 2003. They have two kids together-a girl and a boy!
