When food prices go up, the economy could beat a slow pace and threw off track an entire system of relations between different markets and the buyers need.
While the prices for food go up it is possible that people will show interest in the basics and certain non-essential good and the domains that they represent to see a downfall.
Another possible effect could be sensed in economic field regarding interest rates and inflation rates, both being on the edge to go through the roof.
