10. Maybach W1
And we’re going to start this list, with the Maybach W1 model, which was more like a concept car built in 1919.
The W1 model was the first car to come out of the Maybach workshop, and was built by Maybach’s son, Karl, as a test unit.
The “Testwagen”, as it was called, was one of the most daring designs at the time thanks to its in-line 6-cylinder architecture couple with a Daimler sourced chassis.
Rated at 46 hp, the engine was quite a piece of engineering.
