Drew Carey is our next celebrity who lived in his car.
American actor, comedian, and show host Drew Carey had quite a hard life. Expelled two times from the Kent State University, Carey decided to pursue comedy as a career, and went a long way before becoming famous.
He moved in Los Angeles and lived out of his car for 18 months, while desperately trying to to get a spot on The Tonight Show with Jonny Carson.
The comedian not only got the spot, but he was invited over to the couch next to Carson. Later on, Carey was offered to replace Bob Barker at The Price Is Right, never wanting to feel like Barker’s replacement.
“I don’t compare myself to anybody… It’s only about what you’re doing and supposed to do, and I feel like I’m supposed to be doing this”
Carey is now worth $165 million.
