Best Cars For Total Poseurs

The best car for a total poseur is still the brodozer, a lifted white truck on huge tires, but the supercar answer in 2026 is the Bugatti Tourbillon. This tongue-in-cheek list ranks ten cars bought mainly to be seen. Several from the original list are out of production now, so we say which are used-only.

Rank Car Status in 2026
1 Brodozers Custom
2 Bugatti Tourbillon On sale, 250 units
3 Ferrari Enzo 2002, 399 built
4 Lamborghini Revuelto On sale
5 Lamborghini Aventador Replaced 2023
6 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe Built 2014 to 2020
7 Audi R8 Ended 2024
8 Tesla Cybertruck On sale
9 Range Rover Evoque Convertible 2016 model
10 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Retired 2016

10. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

The Evolution X was launched in Japan in 2007 and overseas in 2008, and Mitsubishi retired the Lancer Evolution in April 2016. That makes it a used-only poseur car now, with rally-inspired looks that promise a lot more than the daily drive delivers.

The GSR Premium version we flagged in the old list had BBS alloys, Recaro seats and a Rockford Fosgate sound system. Heavy clutch and city traffic do not mix, which is the point of a poseur car.

9. Range Rover Evoque Convertible

The Evoque launched as a compact luxury crossover and the Convertible followed as a June 2016 model, after the three-door Coupe had been dropped early in the 2016 model year. The Evoque’s tapered roofline, muscular shoulders and rising beltline were always about image over off-road ability.

If a roofless crossover sounds like your kind of statement, see our article on the Range Rover Evoque Convertible.

8. Tesla Cybertruck

The newest entry. The Cybertruck has an angular body of unpainted stainless steel panels, and customer deliveries began in November 2023. Nobody buys one without wanting to be seen in it, which is the definition of a poseur car.

7. Audi R8

The R8 is a mid-engine two-seater with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive, introduced in 2006 and built on a platform shared with the Lamborghini Gallardo. Production ended in the first quarter of 2024.

The R8 GT Spyder, unveiled in 2011 with a run of 333 units, and tuned versions like the PPI Razor GTR 10 Limited Edition are what we flagged in the old list. See the most expensive tuned cars in the world for how far people take it.

6. Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe

The C217 S-Class Coupe and Convertible were built from 2014 to 2020. They were grand tourers built for arriving, with frameless doors and an interior to match. The current alternative in the Mercedes line-up is the CLE, which launched in 2023 as a coupe and cabriolet and replaced the C-Class and E-Class coupes.

5. Lamborghini Aventador

Built from 2011 to 2022, the Aventador was a mid-engine V12 supercar designed to be looked at. Lamborghini planned 4,000 units, then passed the 5,000 mark in 2016. It was replaced by the Revuelto in 2023.

Ours is a used-car poseur pick now. The loud V12 and the dramatic doors do all the talking. See the most expensive Lamborghinis for the rare ones.

4. Lamborghini Revuelto

The Aventador’s replacement is a plug-in hybrid with a 6.5-litre V12 and three electric motors, making 1,015 PS. Lamborghini unveiled it on March 29, 2023 with an exposed engine bay in the style of the Bugatti Veyron. Reported UK price: from about £447,000.

3. Ferrari Enzo

Announced at the 2002 Paris Motor Show with a run of 399 units, the Enzo was offered only to selected Ferrari clients, mostly owners of the F40 and F50. Designer Ken Okuyama styled it, and it reaches 60 mph in 3.14 seconds with a recorded top speed of up to 355 km/h.

You cannot just buy one: you need to find a seller.

2. Bugatti Tourbillon

The Veyron was the poseur’s dream in 2013: 450 built over more than a decade, with the Super Sport reaching 431.072 km/h. Its modern equivalent is the Tourbillon, a 250-unit V16 hybrid priced at €3.8 million (about $4.1 million), unveiled on June 20, 2024.

1. Brodozers

A brodozer is usually a large white pickup turned into an epitome of excess, with an enormous lift kit, huge tires, rooftop lights and a cage bumper. In Utah they are known as bankruptcy trucks. They still top the list because nothing says “look at me” louder.

Yes. The Aventador was built from 2011 to 2022 and replaced by the plug-in hybrid Revuelto in 2023.

How we put this list together

We ranked these cars by how loudly they say “look at me”, then checked every model against manufacturer histories to see whether it is still on sale.

The list is meant to be fun, so treat the rankings as opinion.
