We all know Oprah Winfrey for being the host of a successful talk show, an actress and producer and one of the most infuential women of all times. But what many of you don’t know is the struggle she faced in the early years, the terrible life she lived as a child and an adolescent.
In 1986, during an episode of her talk show about sexual abuse, she made the shocking confession. It all started when she was only 9 years old. She was molested by her cousin, uncle and a family friend for years until she turned 13 and ran away from home because the pain becam unbearable. At the age of 14, she got pregnant, but her son died soon after birth.
Later, when she turned 24, Oprah tried to confront the family members who abused her, but of course, they denied everything.
Well, this kind of explains the decision of Oprah to not have children. With a background like that, I’d be afraid too!
