I am pretty sure you all love desserts, and as a pancake lover myself, I have decided to talk to you about the most expensive pancake in the world!
Who wouldn’t want to wake up everyday to a freshly baked pancake and a coffee? For me, that would be the perfect morning.
But when you’re in a rush to get ready, the best thing to do is simply to stop and buy a pancake, right? And the price would normally be under $5.
How about spending over $1000 for a pancake which is not even a dessert?
Yes, you heard that right. This is not your ordinary Nutella and syrup pancake, this is a proper fancy food that costs an incredible amount of money and is the world’s priciest pancake!
The world of pancakes is now mind-blown by this luxurious breakfast that can be even a lunch or dinner.
The Opus Restaurant in Manchester has celebrated this year’s Fat Tuesday in an expensive and ostentatious way.
They created the most expensive pancake in the world at the outstanding price of $1.350!
This pricey idea belongs to Matthet Downes, the restaurant’s head chef, who wanted to create a “posh pancake”.

The world’s most pricey pancake brings you fancy ingredients, such as: Scottish lobster, Beluga caviar and Huller Verge Truffle.
The pancake also comes along with a Dom Perignon Rose champagne hollandaise sauce.
The restaurant beat its own record, when in 2009 they offered a $240 pancake, which was known to be the world’s most expensive pancake so far.
The pancake layers are made of normal batter flavoured with beetroot, chive and Dom Perignon champagne.
We thought of doing a posh pancake because we knew Pancake Day was coming up and we thought we could make something a bit special out of it.
We used only the finest ingredients to give it that extra-wow factor. I’m really proud of what we’ve created, the taste certainly lives up to the price tag.

Gimmicky it may be, but the subtle layering of flavoured pancakes with lobster, caviar cream cheese and a dreamy Dom Perignon hollandaise sauce was a taste sensation.
