1- Vostok Spacecraft – $2.9 million
This is a real spaceship. It’s the kind of spaceship that existed before humans were able to explore the space. I said humans because there were other living things (like dogs) able to go into space.
Right about before Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space, the Soviet Union launched the Vostok 3KA-2. The ship contained a dummy and a dog named Zvezdochka.
The capsule was bought on Tuesday 12 April 2011 for $2.9m at Sotheby’s New York by chairman of the AS Popov investment fund, Evgeny Yurchenko.
The most expensive space travel memorabilia is a real beauty, don’t you think?
