And number 1, most expensive superhero films released so far is Spider-Man 3, because it doesn’t matter how many movies about Spider-Man they will do, they are nothing compared to this one.
I know, some of you might not agree with me, but think about this. Spider-man 3 was the highest grossing Sony Spider-Man film and in the top 35 highest grossing films of all time.
However, they didn’t want to risk and release Spider-Man 4 and so they waited a few years and rebooted the entire franchise and released The Amazing Spider-Man to theaters five years after the release of Spider-Man 3.
While the new films do seem to be well revered, neither of the two had the same success as Raimi’s trilogy.
