6) Superman Returns (2006) – $209 Million
This sure is a surprise. On the sixth place we have a Bryan Singer directed film about Superman.
After a long absence, Superman comes back to Earth which gives us the storyline for this new Superman film called Superman Returns.
Now, ‘The Man of Steel” has to protect the mankind from a rising foe that threatens to bring the USA to global domination using the Superman’s prior weakness.
The famous character has to face an old enemy who plots to leave him powerless once and for all.
The guys from IMDB said it right:
“In an attempt to protect the world he loves from cataclysmic destruction, Superman embarks on an epic journey of redemption that takes him from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space.”
