How much is Alex Morgan worth in 2026?
We estimate $24 million, in a range of $12 million to $40 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented year by year. We have two solid years of reported earnings, a list of sponsors and a club’s sale price. The rest of the career is filled in with assumptions, shown below.
That sits far above the figure you may have seen. A public estimate of about $3 million was already in print in 2019 and was still being repeated in 2024, the year after a reported $7.1 million season. It hasn’t moved with her income, and it doesn’t count any of her company stakes.
How Alex Morgan built it
- Earned most of it off the field. Forbes listed $7.1 million in 2023, with $6.3 million from outside soccer.
- Co-founded a company while still playing. She started Togethxr in 2021 with Sue Bird, Chloe Kim and Simone Manuel.
- Moved from player to owner. She took a minority stake in the San Diego Wave in May 2025, after retiring in 2024.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Playing pay, 2011 to 2024 | $6 million | Assumption: $200,000 a year for 6 years, then $600,000 for 8. Anchors: Lyon’s reported $33,000 a month in 2017 and Forbes’ $800,000 on-field figure for 2023. |
| Endorsements, 2012 to 2016 | $7.5 million | Assumption: $1.5 million a year. Time ranked her the highest-paid American women’s soccer player in 2015, mostly on endorsements. |
| Endorsements, 2017 to 2022 | $21 million | Assumption: $3.5 million a year. Forbes reported total earnings of $3.5 million in 2017, and income rose from there. |
| Endorsements, 2023 | $6.3 million | Forbes’ figure, reported in July 2023. The ranking’s off-field income covers sponsors, appearances, licensing and memorabilia. |
| Endorsements, 2024 to 2026 | $9 million | Assumption: $3 million a year, less than half the 2023 peak now that she has stopped playing. |
| Agents and tax | Minus $24.9 million | Assumption: 50 percent of the $49.8 million above, for agent fees plus federal and California tax. |
| Living costs | Minus $7 million | Assumption: $500,000 a year for 14 years. |
| Togethxr stake | $2 million | Assumption: 10 percent of a $20 million company. The company told ESPN in September 2025 that revenue reached $30 million, while CB Insights lists $6 million for 2025. Neither is audited and no valuation is public. |
| Investment returns | $3.6 million | Assumption: half of the $17.9 million left after costs, earning 4 percent after tax for 10 years. |
| Total | $24 million | The rows sum to about $23.5 million, which we round. Wave and Trybe money is treated as savings moved into investments, so it adds nothing extra. |
Eighty-nine cents of every dollar
Take the 2023 Forbes numbers: $6.3 million off the field out of $7.1 million. That is 89 percent earned outside the game, by our calculation. The contrast gets sharper against a $46,200 NWSL maximum salary reported in 2019. Her off-field income in that one year equals about 136 years of that league maximum. The cap has since changed, and she was also paid by US Soccer, but the sum shows where a women’s soccer fortune could and could not come from when she played.
Our $3.5 million a year for 2017 to 2022 has a useful sanity check. Reporting from 2024 lists Nike, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Reese’s, Uber, BodyArmor, Panasonic, Beats by Dre, ChapStick and Molecule, with deals often worth several hundred thousand dollars each. Ten brands at $350,000 is $3.5 million. Not all ran at the same time, so it is a rough check and no more.
What 1 percent of the Wave is worth
She became a minority investor with an equity stake in San Diego Wave FC on May 13, 2025, eight months after her final match on September 8, 2024. The percentage is secret. The price tag isn’t: the club sold in 2024 for a league record $113 million, and the total could later rise to $120 million. At that 2024 price each 1 percent would be about $1.1 million to $1.2 million. Team values have moved since, with Angel City selling for $250 million, and ESPN notes NWSL teams were selling for about $2 million five years before that piece. Against the Wave’s $113 million, that is a 56-fold rise by our calculation.
We add nothing for the stake because we assume she paid for it, and that cash already sits in the savings above. The price she paid isn’t public. Any gain since then is upside we can’t measure. The same goes for Trybe Ventures, which holds stakes in roughly two dozen companies, including the Los Angeles Golf Club and Classic Football Shirts. She runs it with her husband, Servando Carrasco, so any gain there is not all hers anyway.
A T-shirt that did real numbers
Togethxr, founded in 2021 with Sue Bird, Chloe Kim and Simone Manuel, is the one holding she built instead of bought. The Associated Press reported in September 2025 that its Everyone Watches Women’s Sports shirts alone generated $6 million. ESPN says the bigger business is branded studio content and that the company claims it was profitable in 2024. If the $30 million revenue claim holds up, our $20 million valuation is too low. If the $6 million figure is right, $20 million is more than three times revenue and looks generous.
What would move the figure
A Togethxr funding round or sale with a disclosed price would replace our weakest row. So would a new NWSL deal that revalues the Wave. And the endorsement line is the one to watch: we assume $3 million a year after retirement, and partnerships such as her JPMorgan Chase women’s sports initiative don’t come with published fees.
