We land on $2.3 million, in a range of $1.9 million to $3.2 million. Only one pay figure is on record, and it covers just the first two of ten seasons. Everything after that is our assumption, and we label it. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented.
Public estimates we saw sit near $8 million. That’s more than our $7.5 million guess at everything he has grossed since 2018, so those numbers appear to treat fame as savings and skip his representatives and the tax bill entirely. He may well have earned more than we assume. Nobody outside his accountant’s office can show it yet.
How we got to $2.3 million
| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Queer Eye pay | $2.9 million | 16 episodes at the reported $7,500 is $120,000. Wikipedia lists 86 episodes for him. Assumption: the other 70 paid $40,000 each, or $2.8 million. |
| Brand deals | $3.2 million | Assumption: $400,000 a year for eight years. Former co-star Bobby Berk said brand work was the cast’s form of income, but we found no deal figures for Porowski. |
| Two cookbooks | $0.5 million | Assumption: $250,000 each. The deal for the first was announced in April 2018. No terms are public. |
| Other hosting and producing | $0.9 million | Assumption: $300,000 each for Easy Bake Battle, No Taste Like Home and his 2026 travel series. |
| The Village Den | $0 | It closed in 2021 and no financials are public. We count no gain and no loss. |
| Agents and managers | minus $1.5 million | Assumption: 20 percent of the $7.5 million above. |
| Income tax | minus $2.7 million | Assumption: 45 percent of the $6 million left, a combined rate for a high earner based in New York. |
| Spending | minus $1 million | Assumption: 30 percent of the remaining $3.3 million, or $0.99 million. |
| Total | $2.3 million | Moving later Queer Eye episodes to $20,000 or $80,000 gives about $1.9 million or $3.2 million, the ends of our range. |
What a $7,500 episode really left him
Run that first-season check through our own fee, tax and spending rows, and each dollar leaves him about 31 cents (0.8 x 0.55 x 0.7, by our calculation). A $7,500 episode becomes roughly $2,310. The whole of those first two seasons, at $120,000, is 1.6 percent of our $7.5 million gross estimate. If those assumptions hold, the show’s real payoff was the attention it created.
The pay did rise. Looper reports the main cast renegotiated for season 3, though nothing on the record confirms what came after. Berk said in June 2025 that he lost money in the first two seasons and “probably broke even” in seasons 3 and 4, with his design business suffering while he filmed. That’s one cast member talking about his own costs, but it’s why our later-season number stays modest at $40,000 an episode. Scripted stars, Berk noted, were paid far better.
The diner that didn’t add a dollar we can count
Porowski, Lisle Richards and Eric Marx redesigned a former neighborhood diner and opened The Village Den in New York’s West Village in September 2018. It closed for good in 2021. For a TV personality, a restaurant is the obvious next asset, and this one lasted about three years. His share of the money, in or out, was never reported, so it sits at zero.
Queer Eye is over, so the next check comes from elsewhere
The tenth and final season of Queer Eye aired earlier in 2026, which ends the steadiest line in our ledger. Porowski has already moved to National Geographic. No Taste Like Home, executive produced with Studio Ramsay Global, won a Critics’ Choice Real TV Award in 2025. Best of the World, a four-part travel series adapting the channel’s annual travel list, followed, with TVmaze listing airdates from June 7, 2026. He hosts it and, according to the December 2025 announcement, is an executive producer.
That move is what would shift this figure: a multi-season hosting or producing deal, a third cookbook, or a brand partnership with disclosed terms. Going the other way, each year without a Netflix check tests whether $400,000 in brand income holds up.
