Big Boi is an American rapper, songwriter, actor and record producer and his current net worth is $55 million.

Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, he moved to Atlanta to live with his Aunt Renne, after he graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High School.

After a while he decided to pursue a career in music at a visual and performing arts Magnet school, Tri-Cities High School.

While there, his interest in hip-hop grew even bigger, he met André “3000” Benjamin.

The pair joined forces and formed Outkast, and later on they signed a record deal with LaFace records.

Boi often used his lyrics to criticize the problems that he and the African American community had, as well as world problems.

For example, the 2003’s War, became a scathing attack on the Bush administration and the War of Terror.

The group released four successful albums, before deciding to record two solo albums and release them as a double album under the Outkast name.

André 3000 released The Love Below, which featured Andre usual rapping, while Big Boi released Speakerboxxx, which featured a style similar to Outkast’s previous singles.

They put the two together and named them Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

Then they released one song from each album as a single, The Way You Move from Patton’s album, as well as Ghetto Musick from Big Boi’s.

In 2007 Outkast released their sixth album and Big Boi decided to release a full-fledged solo album.

The album, titled Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of the Chico Dusty, had its first promotional single Royal Flush, released in 2007.

Son of Chico Dusty received general acclaim from most music critics, earning praise for its inventive sound, varied musical style, and Big Boi’s lyricism. It also had an official music video where famous rappers appeared.

Then in 2012 he released his second solo album called Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, with its first single Mama Told Me, featuring Kelly Rowland.

The album featured guest appearances from ASAP Rocky, Ludacris, T.I., Little Dragon, Phantogram, Kelly Rowland and B.o.B.

In 2014 he signed a record deal with Epic Records.

He is currently working on his third solo album titled Boomiverse.

In 2006 he had his first film role in ATL and Idlewield, followed by a leading role in Who’s Your Caddy.

In 2002 he married Sherlita Patton, with whom he has two children.
