Bill Clinton is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States and his current net worth is $80 million.
Born William Jefferson Blythe III at Julia Chester Hospital in Hope, Arkansas, as the son of William Jefferson Blythe Jr., a traveling salesman, and Virginia Dell Cassidy, his name is now Bill Clinton.
Soon after his birth, his mother traveled to New Orleans to study nursing, leaving him with her parents Eldridge and Edith Cassidy, who owned an ran a small grocery store.
After his mother returned from nursing school, she married Roger Clinton Sr., the owner of an automobile dealership in Arkansas.
In 1950 the entire family moved to Hot Springs. He immediately assumed use of his stepfather’s surname, but not until he turned 15 that he formally adopted the surname Clinton, as a gesture towards him.
Clinton started playing the saxophone in elementary school, even considering pursuing a career in music.
While in Hot Springs, he went to St. John’s Catholic Elementary School, Ramble Elementary School, and Hot Springs High School.
When at school, he became an active student leader, avid reader and musician, as well as a member of the chorus and player of tenor saxophone.
He won his first chair in the state band’s saxophone section.
While attending Hot Springs High, his interest in law sparked, when he took up the challenge to argue the defense of the ancient Roman Senator Catiline in a mock trial, while in his Latin class.
There it made him realize that he wanted to study law someday.
Two moments that happened in 1963, made him realize that he would like to become a public figure. First, when visiting the White House he met President John F. Kennedy.
Second, watching Martin Luther King, Jr.’s I Have a Dream speech on TV impressed the hell out of him that he later memorized it.
While at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, he ran for president of the Student Council.
He won the elections for class president, and started working as an intern and then a clerk in the office of Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright.
After winning a Rhodes scholarship to University College, Oxford, he eventually decided to go for a B.Phil. in Politics.
While there, he received an offer to study at Yale Law School, Yale University, and left early from Oxford and didn’t receive a degree.
He served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Before elections, he served as the 40th Governor of Arkansas, and the state’s 42nd governor.
Clinton is married to Hillary Rodham Clinton, who served as US Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. In the president elections of 2016 she served as the Democratic nominee.
They met when both attended Yale Law School, and started dating.
Upon leaving the presidential office, he became of the people who left with the highest end-of-office approval rating.
Since then, he became involved in public speaking and humanitarian work. Apart from that, he even wrote several books.
