How much is Jamie Dimon Worth? Jamie Dimon Net Worth in 2026
Jamie Dimon’s net worth is estimated at $2.8 billion as of November 2026. Dimon’s 2025 pay package of about $43 million was the small part of his year. The stock he already owned rose enough to add roughly $770 million to his wealth, so the paycheck was a rounding error on the share price. We price his shares at the 31 December 2025 close, so this figure moves with the stock from there.

How much is Jamie Dimon worth in 2026?
We estimate Jamie Dimon’s net worth at $2.8 billion. It is an estimate, because only his JPMorgan holding is public; the rest is inferred. Public estimates run from about $2.4 billion to about $3 billion. The low end is basically the value of his shares at the end of 2025, and the high end adds cash and other assets on top. We have not repriced the stake to a 2026 quote. We sit in the lower half because we deduct for taxes on what he would owe if he ever sold.
How Jamie Dimon built it
- Held shares instead of selling. He sold only a few planned blocks, the first worth about $150 million, and kept a stake worth about $2.4 billion.
- Took the long road to the top. He went from Commercial Credit CFO at 30 to Bank One CEO in 2000 and JPMorgan CEO in 2005.
- Accepted a stock-heavy package. Most of his 2025 gain, about $605.6 million, came from stock appreciation, not salary.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| JPMorgan shares | $2.4 billion | Fortune reports about 7.3 million shares at the start of 2025, worth $1.8 billion at $239.71. At the $322.22 close on 31 December 2025 the stake was worth about $2.4 billion. That is the latest price we priced it at, not a November 2026 quote. |
| Cash from share sales and pay | $0.3 billion | Yahoo Finance reports his first pre-planned sale in 2024 was worth about $150 million. Add years of after-tax pay of $20 million to $40 million. |
| Everything before JPMorgan | $0.3 billion | Our estimate, not a filing: Bank One equity that converted into JPMorgan stock in the 2004 merger is already in the first row, so this covers earlier investments, property and cash. |
| Tax and spending drag | -$0.2 billion | A haircut for tax on gains that have not been sold yet, plus living costs. |
| Total | $2.8 billion | Sum of the four rows. |
The paycheck against the share price
Here is our own calculation. JPMorgan’s reported pay for Dimon in 2025 was about $43 million. The total gain in his wealth that year was about $770 million, which included stock appreciation of about $605.6 million, dividends of about $40 million and compensation. Those pieces and his pay add to about $689 million, and the sources do not itemize the other roughly $80 million, which we assume comes mostly from the 2021 stock appreciation rights. Divide $43 million by $770 million and pay was 5.6 percent of the year’s gain. The other 94 percent was the market doing his job for him.
The stock itself rose 34 percent in 2025, from $239.71 to $322.22. Dimon began selling in 2024 through a small number of pre-planned sales, the first worth about $150 million. Next to a $2.4 billion holding that is small, which is why his wealth tracks one ticker symbol so closely.
Where the holding came from
The shares did not appear overnight. Most of the holding comes from stock awards and equity he has kept since he took over the bank, including a 2021 award of 1.5 million stock appreciation rights that Fortune said would vest in 2026. We do not know how much of that award has vested or been exercised, so we do not add a separate amount for it.
His path to the top job was long. He earned an MBA at Harvard in 1982, joined American Express as an assistant to Sandy Weill, became chief financial officer of Commercial Credit at 30, ran Travelers and Smith Barney as chief operating officer, and became president of Citigroup in 1998. He left that year and took the chief executive job at Bank One in 2000. JPMorgan’s merger with Bank One in 2004 made him president, then chief executive on December 31, 2005 and chairman a year later.
Why other estimates disagree
Some public estimates count only the value of the JPMorgan shares and stop there. Others add an unexplained slice for cash and other assets, which pushes the figure toward $3 billion. A few lean on older share prices from before the 2025 rally. We treat the shares as the anchor and make the extras explicit.
What moves the figure
One thing: JPMorgan’s share price. Every $10 move on roughly 7.3 million shares shifts his holding by about $73 million, which is more than his annual pay. Any further planned sales, and the 2021 award once it is exercised, are the other items to watch.
