MKBHD’s net worth is estimated at $40 million as of November 2026. How much is MKBHD worth in 2026?
This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. The single clear fact is a February 2024 announcement that he joined Ridge as a board member, equity investor and chief creative partner. Fortune reported that the stake is undisclosed, that the company would not say whether he invested or was given equity, and that its chief executive described annual revenue as hundreds of millions of dollars. Nobody has published his channel income, so that part is assumed too.
Public estimates are wide for the same reason: some count only creator income and others guess at the Ridge piece. We build both parts and show the assumptions.
How MKBHD built it
- Built a real studio. He moved out of his apartment in 2016 and now works from a studio in Kearny, New Jersey.
- Took equity in a sponsor. In February 2024 he joined Ridge as an equity investor and board member.
- Closed what didn't work. He shut Panels in December 2025 after about $95,000 of lifetime consumer spending.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Equity in Ridge | about $16 million | Assumption: revenue of $200 million, in the range of “hundreds of millions” and what a Sacra report implies from about $40 of annual revenue per customer and over 5 million customers; a company worth twice revenue, $400 million; and a 4 percent stake. |
| His studio and channels as a business | about $12 million | Assumption: he works from a studio in Kearny, New Jersey, with 24.9 million subscribers across his channels (Wikipedia), and we value it at three years of an assumed $4 million of yearly profit. |
| Saved earnings after tax | about $9 million | Assumption: years of YouTube, sponsor and podcast income after tax and costs. Not published. |
| Property and other assets | about $3 million | An allowance. No holdings are public. |
Total: $16 million + $12 million + $9 million + $3 million = $40 million. Every row is an assumption except the existence of the Ridge stake, which is why the range is wide.
Our calculation: if Ridge is worth $400 million, every 1 percent he holds is $4 million, so our $16 million row implies a 4 percent stake. A 1 percent stake would cut the row to $4 million and the total to $28 million. A 10 percent stake would lift the row to $40 million, which is the whole headline by itself.
Five million customers, 11 cents a download
Sacra’s report says Ridge has over 5 million customers and makes about $40 a year for each one it has ever had. Multiply those and you get our $200 million ($40 times 5 million). In our table that equity is the largest single piece, and it pays like an investment, not like views.
The product he built himself went the other way. TechCrunch, citing Appfigures, put his Panels wallpaper app at about 900,000 lifetime downloads and $95,000 in consumer spending, which by our math is about 11 cents a download. He announced the shutdown on December 1, 2025, and it closed at the end of that month. That lifetime total adds nothing to the ledger.
What would move it
A sale or recapitalization of Ridge would turn his stake into a known figure, and a sponsor change on his channel would shift the earnings rows. Fortune said in February 2024 that Ridge’s chief executive hoped for a roughly $1 billion exit in about two years, which would be worth $40 million at 4 percent. That window has now passed, and we found no sale. Sacra still describes the company as privately held.
