How much is Pat Cummins Worth? Pat Cummins Net Worth in 2026
Pat Cummins’s net worth is estimated at $18 million as of November 2026. Cricket Australia’s reported offer of A$4 million a year would pay him about $139,000 per Test, and his IPL fee works out to about $136,000 per game. Five days of Test cricket and one evening of T20 are priced almost the same.

How much is Pat Cummins worth in 2026?
Our figure is $18 million, in a range of $12 million to $25 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. His IPL prices are public, but his Cricket Australia pay has to be inferred and his sponsor income isn’t published anywhere we could find. We convert at rates we opened on November 3, 2026: 94.69 rupees and A$1.43 to the US dollar.
Public estimates vary widely. The high end tends to add up gross pay with no tax taken out.
How Pat Cummins built it
- Set a record IPL price. Sunrisers Hyderabad paid ₹20.5 crore for him in December 2023, an IPL record at the time.
- Sat out a season. He did not play the 2023 IPL during a heavy Test schedule, then returned at a record fee.
- Put Test cricket first. He said in May 2026 that Australian cricket, particularly Tests, stayed his top priority.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| IPL fees, 2020 to 2026 | $11.5 million | ?15.5 crore in 2020 and, we assume, 2021 ($2.1 million each); ?7.25 crore in 2022 (about $1 million, our conversion); ?20.5 crore in 2024 ($2.47 million); ?18 crore in 2025 and 2026 ($1.9 million each at today’s rate). Earlier seasons aren’t counted because we found no price. |
| Cricket Australia, 15 seasons | $17.4 million | A reported raise of about A$1 million to A$4 million implies about A$3 million now (our inference). Assumption: A$3 million for five seasons as Test captain, plus A$1 million for ten earlier ones, the current average men’s retainer. That is A$25 million. |
| Sponsors | $5.2 million | He spoke at a New Balance event in May 2026, but no fee is public. Assumption: A$750,000 a year for 10 years, or A$7.5 million. |
| Tax and fees | minus $14.3 million | Assumption: 42 percent of the $34.1 million above, since Australia’s top bracket applies to most of this. |
| Living costs | minus $5 million | Assumption: $500,000 a year for 10 years. |
| Investment gains | $3 million | Assumption: 5 percent a year on an average $6 million balance for 10 years. |
| Total | about $18 million | The rows sum to $17.8 million, which we round. |
A Test and a T20 game cost about the same
The Age reported in May 2026 that Cricket Australia offered him A$12 million over three years, through 2029. Australia have 20 or 21 Tests between August 2026 and August 2027. Our calculation: A$4 million divided by 20 Tests is A$200,000 per Test, or about $139,000. In the IPL, ?18 crore divided by the 14 games he played in 2025 is ?1.29 crore, or about $136,000.
The comparison is rough. The A$4 million covers his whole year of Australia duty, not only Tests, and if he plays fewer Tests the per-match figure rises. A$12 million is $8.4 million at today’s rate, close to half our estimate of everything he owns.
The price chart of an IPL career
His rupee fee has moved like a volatile stock. It went from ?15.5 crore in 2020 to ?7.25 crore in 2022, then nothing in 2023, when he did not play, then a record ?20.5 crore in December 2023 after he led Australia to a World Cup. Sunrisers Hyderabad made him captain and later retained him at ?18 crore. Over those seasons he earned ?94.75 crore.
The currency has done its own damage. ?15.5 crore was $2.1 million when Kolkata bought him for 2020 and is $1.64 million today, a 22 percent drop by our math, without anyone cutting his fee. That is why our IPL row uses the rate near each deal where we could find one, and why the same ?94.75 crore at today’s rate would be only $10 million.
What could change the number
The offer itself comes first. We could not confirm that he has signed it, and reports from May describe it only as an offer. Then there is 2027: ESPN reported in May 2026 that ten straight Tests run from December to mid-March, with talks to come about his IPL availability. Missing that season would cost him about $1.9 million before tax. By May 20, 2026, he had played only six IPL games that season, and we have counted the fee in full, so the row could be slightly high.
He said then that “my priority is Australian cricket.” The numbers suggest he can afford to mean it, since the reported offer pays about 47 percent more per year than his IPL fee does.
