How much is Paul Tudor Jones worth in 2026?
This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. Tudor is private, and Wikipedia gives its assets as about $12 billion in 2022. Nothing we read shows how much of that is Jones’s own money. His capital and the value of the management company are assumptions, set out below. Public estimates run well above ours, and the main reason is that they tend to treat fund assets as his own money.
How Paul Tudor Jones built it
- Founded his own firm. He started Tudor Investment Corporation in 1980 and has run it since.
- Bought what he argued for. His firm nearly doubled its iShares Bitcoin Trust shares, from 4.4 million to 8.1 million, in the early 2025 filing.
- Gave back through a charity. He co-founded the Robin Hood Foundation in 1988 and joined the Giving Pledge in 2019.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| His capital in Tudor funds | About $2.0 billion | Assumption: a founder’s own money, built up over four decades. Wikipedia reports a 125.9 percent return in 1987 and 87.4 percent in 1990, but not how much he kept in the funds. |
| The management company | About $1.4 billion | Assumption: $12 billion of assets, 80 percent of it from outside investors, is $9.6 billion. A 2 percent fee is $192 million and a 20 percent incentive on an 8 percent gain is $154 million, $346 million together. After costs near 45 percent that is about $190 million of profit, valued at 7.5 times earnings. |
| Property and other holdings | About $0.5 billion | Our placeholder, with no public record behind it. |
| Total | About $3.9 billion | $2.0 + $1.4 + $0.5 billion, shown as $4 billion. |
Why the fee matters
Wikipedia says Tudor reportedly charges 4 percent of assets plus 23 percent of profits, against the industry standard of 2 and 20. Our calculation: on $12 billion, two extra points of management fee would be $240 million a year, but we do not know how many dollars pay it or at what discount, so the ledger uses the standard 2 and 20. If every outside dollar paid the reported 4 percent, the management company row could be much higher, which is part of why our range runs to $7 billion.
What he is buying now
A Motley Fool analysis of the 13F filing said Jones’s firm nearly doubled its holding of the iShares Bitcoin Trust, from 4.4 million to 8.1 million shares, in the filing reported in February 2025. That was about 4.5 percent of a roughly $9 billion portfolio and the largest holding. Our calculation: 8.1 million divided by 4.4 million is 1.84, a rise of 84 percent. A 13F is a snapshot of reportable holdings, and it says what the firm owns, not what Jones owns. It is the latest documented move we found.
What would move it
Tudor’s returns and how much outside money stays with it. A sale of part of the management company would turn a guess into a number. Gifts under his 2019 Giving Pledge would lower the total over time, though we count none of them.
