How much is Rachel Hollis Worth? Rachel Hollis Net Worth in 2026
Rachel Hollis’s net worth is estimated at $5 million as of November 2026. She is the American author behind a 2018 self-help bestseller, and most of the money she has earned came from book royalties, conferences and a podcast.
One conference could out-earn a mountain of paperbacks. Jezebel reported about 3,000 women at a three-day RISE event in Toronto, at $650 a ticket. By our math that is about $1.95 million at the door for one long weekend.

How much is Rachel Hollis worth in 2026?
We put Rachel Hollis at about $5 million, in a range of $3 million to $10 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. Book sales are reported, but her contracts, company accounts and personal assets are not public, so we assumed the rest and show the sums.
Public estimates differ because many treat retail book sales or company revenue as her own cash. An author sees a slice of a book’s price, and a conference has a venue to pay. Income earned while the business was a household venture was also not hers alone.
How Rachel Hollis built it
- Grew party planning into media. Chic Events, founded in 2004, added a blog in 2008 that later ran under her own name.
- Sold tickets as well as books. A three-day RISE conference charged $650 a seat and drew about 3,000 women in Toronto.
- Built a podcast audience. Her speaker agency says the podcast draws over 49 million downloads a year.

The main title’s copy count comes from the publisher. The other books’ copies, the rates, margins and event counts are our assumptions, and we name them so you can swap in your own.
| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Book royalties | $11.5 million | 3 million copies of the main title, as the publisher stated in 2019, plus an assumed 1.6 million for her other books. Assumption of $2.50 per copy across formats. |
| RISE conferences | $1.76 million | $650 x 3,000 is $1.95 million a show. We assume a 15 percent margin, or $292,500, and six shows of that size. Only the Toronto numbers are reported. |
| Podcast | $2.94 million | Over 49 million downloads a year, per her speaker agency. Assumption of $20 per 1,000 downloads is $980,000, half kept after costs, for six full years. |
| Income tax | minus $6.48 million | Assumption of 40 percent on the $16.2 million above. |
| Living costs, overhead and household sharing | minus $4.86 million | Assumption of half of the $9.72 million left after tax. |
| Total | about $5 million | The rows sum to $4.86 million. We have no record of her homes or investments, so none are added. |
From party planner to publisher’s bestseller
She started Chic Events, a party-planning company, in 2004, and added a blog arm in 2008 that by 2011 ran under her own name. One odd detail survives from that stretch: BuzzFeed News reported she bought a $1,000 Louis Vuitton Speedy bag after her first $10,000 consulting check. A 2015 Instagram post about her stretch marks passed ten million views, and Thomas Nelson published Girl, Wash Your Face in February 2018.
The sales curve was steep. BuzzFeed News cited more than 880,000 US copies within months, and by 2019 the publisher’s release put it at over three million worldwide across all formats, including over one million audiobooks. Another report credited the 3 million to Amazon alone. We use the publisher’s version, which covers all formats.
Books against tickets
Our calculation: at our assumed $2.50 per copy, the main title brought in $7.5 million, which is 46 percent of the $16.2 million gross in the ledger ($7.5 million divided by $16.2 million). That one decision to write a blunt self-help book for women still outweighs everything else on the page.
Tickets are the surprise. A single Toronto show’s $1.95 million at the door equals the author’s share of 780,000 books, by the same rate ($1.95 million divided by $2.50). Door money is gross and royalties are close to net, so the comparison flatters the conference, which is why the ledger only keeps 15 percent of it. Other offers were priced higher still: a couples’ weekend ran $1,795 per couple for two days, hotel not included.
Where the money comes from now
The latest dated event we could confirm is her 2025 book, What If YOU Are the Answer?, which her speaker agency calls an instant New York Times bestseller. Bookseller listings in search results name Authors Equity as its publisher, though we could not open those pages, and that firm says it pays no advance but a much higher per-unit payout. So a hit there pays later and more, and a miss pays nothing. We didn’t find sales figures for it.
The same agency credits the podcast with over 49 million downloads a year and lists her as founder of the Hollis Company and START TODAY. Audited numbers for any of that aren’t public. Real sales figures for the 2025 book or a sale of the podcast would move our estimate most, in either direction.
