Ray Romano is an American stand-up comedian, actor and screenwriter and his current net worth is $140 million.
Born in Queens, New York as the son of Lucie, a piano teacher, and Albert Romano, a real estate agent and engineer, he grew up in Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens.
He has an older brother, Richard, a sergeant with the NYPD, and a younger brother, Robert, a second grade teacher in NYC.
Growing up he attended elementary and middle school at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills. Before attending Archbishop Molloy High School, he transferred and graduated from Hillcrest High School.
For a short period of time he attended Queens College in Flushing, New York where he studied accounting.

Upon competing in the Johnnie Walker Comedy Search in 1989, he appeared on The Comedy Central.
After the first appearance many other followed including on Comedy Central, where he borrowed his voice for the show Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.
During that same period he competed on Star Search in the stand-up comedy category.
First cast as Joe on the American television sitcom NewsRadio, he was fired and replaced by Joe Rogan.
