Nowadays cosplay is beginning to look more like an art than a play. While the word isn’t known by everyone, the trend is known by people who want to become a superhero for just a day.
The cosplay is always a viable option for embodying a favorite superhero and many try to do the best they can to dress up like their favorite characters.
And all that requires some effort. Where do you put the make-up you need to wear for the impersonation to be more realistic.
And this is where the Canadian makeup artist is making possible to literally transform into a comic book as they appear on the printed version.
The artist and designer, Lianne Moseley can turn anyone into a comic-ready superhero with abs and the entire package needed.
Lianne Moseley is by day a bridal designer but her superpower is transporting subjects into the comic book world with a body paint style that evokes classic comic art.
With thick ink lines and muted colors, she basically turns people into living, breathing George Perez art.
And like most of the superheroes she is a self-made wonder, Lianne claims that she taught herself everything she knows, with years spent to perfect her craft.
“My mom sold catalog cosmetics and right from the start, I just got right into it,” Moseley revealed. “In high school instead of studying I spent a lot of time practicing and doing friend’s makeup.”
It takes several hours to transform her subjects to comic-ready heroes, with the face and torso taking between 90 minutes and two hours, depending on the superhero.
But again, no one said that being a superhero will be easy.
I know you dreamed of being a superhero and/or having superpowers and what better way to do it than this?
Lianne has discovered her superpower of her own; you still have time to discover yours!
The 25 years old Lianne Moseley from Calgary, Canada is a true make-up artist who has a great talent.
She uses regular people who then transforms into real-life superheroes by covering them in an array of vivid colors in order to make them look just like illustrations from comic book strips.
The artist has transformed people into characters including Superman, Wonder Woman, Sterling Archer, and She-Hulk.
Lianne uses a water-based make-up called Aquacolor to mimic the characters, a metamorphosis that can take anywhere between one to seven hours to complete.
She does everything by hand, and her designs range from face-only to full-body creations.
What do you think about her talent? Would you like her to transform you into a superhero? Which superhero will you choose?
