Kathmandu in Nepal, also known as “the tired traveler’s dream”, used to be the best getaway from hippies all over the world in the 60’s.
They were attracted by the challenging travel it took to get here, but in the end it paid off. Especially because of the low cost of living.
Of course, many things have changed over the years, but there is still one place in the city where it all still looks authentic, the Freak Street.
