4Open questions
People that work in marketing know that using open ended questions instead of closed “yes” or “no” questions can result in a lot more sales.
This one has something in common with the trick about giving people options. It exploits the same mind pattern: people like to feel that they are in control.
Let me give you an example. Instead of saying: “Do you want to buy more shoes to get the sales price?“, try asking: “Why don’t you buy 2 pairs of shoes to get the sales price?”
Do you see the difference? People won’t feel like they are cornered and will be more likely to accept what you are trying to convince them.
