How much is Alexa Chung worth in 2026?

We estimate $3 million, with a fair range of $1.5 million to $6 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. No campaign fee, collaboration royalty or home purchase has a public number, so her income rows are assumptions. What can be documented is the business that didn’t pay off.

We convert at £1 to $1.34, the X-Rates rate on November 3, 2026.

How Alexa Chung built it

  • Raised outside money for a label. The company behind it took in about £12.2 million before it closed in 2022.
  • Kept working after it closed. She became creative director of The Edit at Barbour, launched for autumn 2024.
  • Stayed booked for over two decades. She was scouted at 16 and fronted the Chloé Resort 2027 lookbook in July 2026.

The £12 million label

The company is called Alpha Charlie Ltd, and its liquidators’ paperwork says it traded as AlexaChung. Companies House lists her and backer Peter Dubens as the people with significant control, and Dubens was reported as the label’s first funder, with Pembroke VCT following in 2017 for an undisclosed sum. Its final filed accounts, for the year to March 2022, show £12,164,109 of share premium, which is money paid in above the shares’ face value, against £12,465,029 of accumulated losses. Losses had eaten 102 percent of the capital raised, by our calculation.

The last round is what stings. In that final year the company sold 1,761,351 E shares for £780,000, about 44 pence each. With 30,665,574 shares in issue, that values the whole business at about £13.6 million on paper. The register has listed her with more than half of the shares since 2016, though the 2022 accounts say the company had no controlling party, so her share may have been lower by then. We worked out that half would have been worth about £6.8 million, or about $9 million. It’s crude, because share classes carry different rights. Even so, at that price she could have been a multimillionaire on paper through a company that lost £1.4 million that year. Before the financial year ended, she had announced it was closing.

Stylist reported that the label was not going into administration, and the winding-up that began on October 23, 2023 was a members’ voluntary one, the kind used for companies able to pay their debts. It did pay them. The liquidators’ final account shows £57,420 collected in total, all of it spent on costs and creditors, including former staff owed money under an incentive scheme. Its line for distributions to ordinary shareholders reads nil. So about £12.2 million went in and, by our calculation from those two filings, nothing came out for the holders. The 2022 accounts also listed £30,000 owed to Chung herself, and we couldn’t see whether she was repaid.

Public estimates differ for a simple reason: some may credit her with a successful fashion business without checking the filings. Anyone valuing the label at its funding price would be counting millions that no longer exist.

Paid to have taste

The work kept coming after the label stopped. She became creative director and designer of The Edit at Barbour, with a first collection for autumn 2024 and a second from February 20, 2025. Hypebae’s coverage lists a Burberry festival campaign in June 2025 and a HOFF ambassador role in October 2025. On July 7, 2026, Chloé’s Resort 2027 lookbook featured her, and on October 5, 2026, Hypebae reported a 30-piece Reformation collection inspired by pieces she has worn for years. It’s a list a lot of models would envy, and not a single fee in it is public.

It goes back to being scouted at 16 at the Reading Festival and a run as the face of Longchamp from 2013. Her 2013 book, It, and collaborations with Madewell and AG Jeans and Marks & Spencer all fed the same reputation. That reputation, more than any company, is the asset, and it doesn’t appear on a balance sheet.

What would move this figure: the Reformation sales, if the deal pays a royalty. The label won’t, now the liquidation is finished. A disclosed Barbour contract would do more for our confidence than for her bank balance.
