How much is Chrissy Teigen worth in 2026?

We estimate Chrissy Teigen’s own net worth at about $28 million, separate from John Legend’s. It is a rough estimate, and more of it is assumed than documented. The hard numbers are one year of pay on the Forbes list of top-earning models, one year of book sales from Publishers Weekly, and a few home sales. Her stake in the food company and her TV fees are not public. Public estimates disagree mainly because many blend her money with her husband’s or count a peak year’s gross pay as if it had piled up untaxed.

How Chrissy Teigen built it

  • Used books to sell more. Cravings sold 276,326 print copies in 2016, and a 40-item Target kitchen line followed by 2018.
  • Turned recipes into a company. Cravings by Chrissy Teigen began in 2021 and sells mixes and sauces in more than 3,000 outlets.
  • Hired a finance chief early. Haley Ludwigson joined as finance chief in the founding year and became chief executive in 2024.

How we got to $28 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Modelling before the big years, 2010 to 2015 $3.3 million Our assumption: six years at $1 million a year, $6 million gross, 55 percent kept after tax and agents.
The best documented year $7.4 million Forbes’s $13.5 million for June 2016 to June 2017. We assume 55 percent kept.
Four other peak years, to about 2020 $19.8 million Our assumption: $9 million a year, below the documented year, covering Lip Sync Battle, books, and the Target cookware line. $36 million gross, 55 percent kept.
TV and brand work, 2021 to 2026 $9.9 million Our assumption: $3 million a year for six years, $18 million gross, 55 percent kept. Includes Deal or No Deal Island and Star Search, fees undisclosed.
Her share of living costs Minus $24.0 million Our assumption: $1.5 million a year from her own earnings for 16 years. Household bills are shared with a higher earner, so we don’t charge her all of them.
Half the Beverly Hills home gain $1.35 million Bought for $14.1 million, sold for $16.8 million: a $2.7 million gain before costs, split evenly because the home was joint.
Stake in Cravings by Chrissy Teigen $10.0 million Our assumption. No revenue, valuation or ownership split is public. We assume a food brand in more than 3,000 outlets is worth about $30 million and that she holds a third.
Total $27.8 million Sum of the rows above. We round to $28 million.

Their homes don’t get a row of their own because they were paid for with money already counted, and they belong to both spouses. Value Cravings at zero and the total falls to about $18 million. Double it and cut her living costs to $1 million a year, and it reaches about $46 million. For context, we estimate John Legend separately on his own page.

What a bestselling cookbook pays

Nielsen BookScan counted 276,326 print copies of Cravings in 2016, second among cookbooks that year behind Ina Garten. BookScan tracks roughly 80 percent of print sales, so the true count is higher. Our calculation: the sequel lists at $29.99, and we assume the first book did too. At an assumed 10 percent royalty, 276,326 times $3.00 comes to about $830,000. Divide that by the $13.5 million Forbes figure and it is about 6 percent, though the two periods only partly overlap.

The book’s real job showed up elsewhere. By 2018, Target had a 40-item Cravings kitchen line priced from $4 for drinkware to $140 for a 12-piece cookware set. By May 2021 Target had stopped carrying it, a “mutual decision” according to a spokesperson. The name then moved on to banana bread.

The $17.5 million house and the penthouses

The couple’s property record is easier to follow than their income. They bought a Beverly Hills home for $14.1 million in January 2016 and listed it at $23.95 million in August 2020. It sold for about $16.8 million in 2021, roughly 30 percent under the first ask by our math. By then they had paid $17.5 million for a larger house in Benedict Canyon.

In Nolita they spent just over $9 million in 2018 and $7.7 million in 2020 on two adjoining penthouses, then asked $18 million for the pair in 2022. If they got that, the gain was about $1.3 million on $16.7 million before costs. We couldn’t confirm a sale price, so it isn’t in the ledger.

Cravings the company, now in Target aisles

Cravings by Chrissy Teigen started in 2021 and was led from 2024 by Haley Ludwigson, who joined as its finance chief. Food Business News reported in February 2026 that it sells baking mixes and pasta sauces in more than 3,000 outlets. A new Target rollout began on 3 May 2026, with baking kits first and pancake mixes a week later. That is the same retailer that stopped carrying the kitchenware five years earlier.

This is the row most likely to change our number. A sale or a funding round would put a real price on the brand, and her stake could turn out to be worth far more or far less than the $10 million we carry. Her current TV work, including Star Search in 2026, moves it far less.
