How much is Eric Yuan worth in 2026?
We estimate about $2.2 billion. The share count comes from Zoom’s filings and the price from the $91.98 close on 2 November 2026. The trust holding the shares is shared with his wife, and we treat it as the couple’s. What sits outside Zoom is far less documented, so one row below is an assumption.
How Eric Yuan built it
- Kept control through supervoting shares. He held 72.6 percent of Class B stock and 37.7 percent of the votes in Zoom's 2026 proxy.
- Took a modest paycheck. His salary was $450,000 and total pay $1.28 million in fiscal 2026, against a stake near $1.9 billion.
- Gave away 18 million shares. He gifted almost 18 million Zoom shares in March 2021, worth about $6 billion then.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Shares in the family trust | $1.90 billion | A Form 4 for 9 October 2026 shows 20,643,685 Class B and 45,997 Class A shares in the trust, down from 20,837,285 Class B in the 2026 proxy. Valued at $91.98. |
| Unvested stock awards | $43 million | 467,943 units left on his April 2026 award in the same Form 4, at $91.98, before tax. Older awards aren’t counted. |
| Cash from earlier share sales | $280 million | Our assumption. See the working below. |
| Total | $2.2 billion | Sum of the rows above: $2.22 billion, rounded. |
The cash row is where we had to guess. A filing for the end of 2019 credited him with 46,773,077 shares, options included. Take away today’s 20,837,285 and the almost 18 million gifted in 2021, and about 7.9 million shares are unaccounted for. Filings don’t separate sales from other gifts, so we assume half were sold at an average of $100, which we keep cautious on purpose, and taxed at 30 percent: 3.95 million times $100 times 0.7 is about $280 million. Count all of it and the total nears $2.5 billion. Count none and it is about $1.95 billion.
The Anthropic money inside his Zoom shares
Zoom’s latest quarterly filing holds a surprise for anyone who thinks of it as a video app. The 10-Q for the quarter to 31 July 2026 carries Anthropic preferred stock at $3.13 billion, after $1.61 billion of unrealized gains in that one quarter.
By our calculation, Yuan’s 20.64 million Class B shares are 7.07 percent of the 291.78 million outstanding on 14 August 2026. That gives him a look-through interest of about $222 million in Anthropic, or roughly 12 percent of his trust’s value. He owns none of it directly, and Zoom’s board could change the position, but it is a large figure for a man whose company reported $1.28 billion in revenue that quarter, up 4.9 percent.
Seven percent of the money, 38 percent of the say
Class B stock carries 10 votes a share. The proxy’s record-date count was 266,044,474 Class A and 28,697,070 Class B shares, or about 553 million votes. His 20,837,285 shares carry 208 million of them, and we work out 37.7 percent, matching the filing. The arrangement isn’t permanent: those shares convert to Class A on several triggers, including the 15th anniversary of the IPO.
The gift that shrank
Bloomberg reported in March 2021 that the shares left a grantor retained annuity trust and that filings did not name the recipient. A Zoom spokesman called it typical estate planning. Almost 18 million shares at $91.98 is about $1.66 billion, so the same block has lost around $4.3 billion of value since. Because the recipient isn’t public, none of it is in our ledger.
Why other estimates disagree
Public estimates usually differ on two things: whether the shares that left in 2021 still count as his, and how much he banked from sales when the stock was far higher. The shares are down about 67 percent over five years, so an old estimate can be badly out of date.
What would move the figure
Each $1 on the share price changes our number by about $21 million. Beyond that, watch the next valuation of the Anthropic position, and the steady 12,100-share conversions in his 2026 filings, which turned 193,600 Class B shares into Class A between March and October. His October filing shows the converted shares sold under a trading plan adopted in June 2025.
