How much is Deepinder Goyal worth in 2026?

We put Goyal at about $1.6 billion. That is an estimate with a firm core: the share count comes from exchange filings and the price is public. The unsettled parts are what he holds beyond those shares and which rupee-dollar rate to use. We use about Rs 95, the 30 October 2026 close.

Estimates differ because tallies differ in date. Reports from January 2026 show 3.83 percent, about 369 million shares. The September 2026 quarter shows 424,238,500 shares, 4.40 percent (DSIJ reported the same count on 1 July 2026). Smallcase says he added 0.57 percent in 2026, which is the gap between the two. Using the older figure would cut about $200 million from the total.

How Deepinder Goyal built it

  • Stepped aside at the top. He left the group CEO role on 1 February 2026 and stayed on as vice chairman.

How we got to $1.6 billion

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Eternal shares $1.54 billion Trendlyne’s shareholding table lists 424,238,500 shares, 4.40 percent of the company, for the September 2026 quarter, and Eternal traded at Rs 345 on 2 November 2026. That is Rs 14,636 crore, or $1.54 billion at Rs 95 to the dollar.
Gurugram apartment $5.5 million Storyboard18 reported, citing property data firm Zapkey, that he bought an apartment of about 10,800 square feet in DLF’s The Camellias for Rs 52.3 crore. We count the price paid.
Delhi farmland $8 million The same report says he bought five acres in Dera Mandi village in 2024 for Rs 79 crore, about $8 million. We count the price paid.
Private investments and other holdings $40 million Assumption. He is listed as an early investor in Ultrahuman, Shiprocket and Bira 91, took 15 percent of a feni brand for Rs 2 crore on a television pitch show, and co-founded an aerospace company in 2025. No stake sizes are disclosed, so we assume a small figure in the tens of millions.
Tax, debt and spending $0 Nothing deducted. The Eternal gain is unrealised, and we know of no loans against the shares.

The rows add to $1.59 billion, which we round to $1.6 billion. The shares are documented; the private row is an assumption of about 2.5 percent of the total. If the older 3.83 percent holding were still right, the total would be about $1.4 billion.

The Rs 917 crore he handed back

When Goyal stepped down, Business Today reported, all his unvested options would return to the company’s pool. ETtech put them at about 3.3 crore shares, worth around Rs 917 crore at the Rs 278 share price then. Our calculation at the 2 November price of Rs 345: 3.3 crore shares come to Rs 1,139 crore, about $120 million, and equal 7.8 percent of the 42.42 crore shares he holds. He gave up options worth about a twelfth of his holding, and the stock then went up.

From a food directory to a Rs 3 lakh crore company

Goyal started the business in 2008 as a restaurant listing site. The company is now called Eternal and includes the quick commerce arm Blinkit. At Rs 345 a share, Eternal’s market value is about Rs 3.3 lakh crore on our count from the share total implied by his stake, and the stock is up roughly 24 percent from the last close of 2025.

What would move the figure

Each Rs 10 on Eternal’s share price changes his stake by roughly Rs 424 crore, about $45 million. A sale of shares would be disclosed and would turn paper wealth into cash less tax. A fresh disclosure for the December quarter would show whether he has sold or exercised more options.
