PhysicsWallah’s IPO raised Rs 3,480 crore, of which about Rs 380 crore was an offer for sale by the two co-founders, at Rs 109 a share. It listed on 18 November 2025, and its price has since ranged between Rs 77.72 and Rs 161.99.
Our calculation: 103.4 crore shares, each Rs 10 on the share price moves his stake by about Rs 1,034 crore, roughly $109 million. At the 52-week low his stake would be worth about $0.85 billion, and at the high about $1.76 billion. That is a $0.9 billion spread on the same shares. Those 103.4 crore shares are 35.6 percent of the 290.5 crore now in issue, close to the 71.17 percent promoter holding shown for September 2026 split in two.
Why the estimates disagree
Public estimates differ because some use the pre-IPO private valuation, some ignore the dilution from new shares, and some pick the share price of a different day. Wikipedia records a $2.8 billion private valuation in September 2024, which is well below today’s market value. The latest price we have is 2 November 2026. Our number moves with the share price, any lock-in expiry that lets promoters sell, and any further offer for sale.
