Sam Ovens’s net worth is estimated at $70 million as of November 2026. Nearly all of that is a guess about one private company: Skool’s revenue is reported at either $27 million a year or $17 million a month, a gap of about 7.6 times, and he has confirmed neither. The New Zealand-born founder built his first fortune on consulting courses, then sold that business in 2023 to run Skool.

How much is Sam Ovens worth in 2026?

We land on $70 million, inside a wide range of $40 million to $300 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. Skool publishes no accounts, nobody has disclosed the shareholdings, and the price of the 2023 sale never came out.

Public estimates run from tens of millions to $500 million, and the spread comes almost entirely from what each writer assumes about Skool. Those at the top tend to accept a $1 billion valuation that Revenue Memo traced to blogs and AI summaries, with no primary source.

How Sam Ovens built it

  • Sold consulting training first. His Consulting Accelerator cost under $2,000, and revenue reached $18.25 million in 2016.
  • Sold the old business. He sold Consulting.com in 2023 to focus on Skool, co-founded with Daniel Kang in 2019.
  • Kept the team small. A September 2026 profile lists 30 employees at Skool.

How we got to $70 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Stake in Skool $67.5 million Our assumption: about $27 million in annual recurring revenue, a third-party estimate, at five times revenue is $135 million. We give him half. His stake is private, and Daniel Kang and Alex Hormozi also hold undisclosed shares.
Consulting.com profits $24 million Our assumption: 30% margin on $80 million of lifetime revenue. That revenue figure is explained below.
Tax on those profits minus $8.4 million Our assumption: 35% of $24 million.
Money put into building Skool minus $16.8 million Our assumption: one blog reports development costs above $700,000 a month before traction, without citing a source. We assume 24 months, paid from his own pocket since Skool grew without large venture funding.
Sale of Consulting.com $7.5 million Our assumption: $10 million before 25% tax. The price and terms were never disclosed.
Personal spending minus $5 million Our assumption: $500,000 a year for ten years.
Total $70 million The rows add to $68.8 million, rounded up.

The $1 billion question

Everything turns on which Skool revenue number you believe. Revenue Memo collects two third-party figures: about $27 million in annual recurring revenue, undated, and about $17 million in monthly recurring revenue at a 2024 snapshot. The second works out to $204 million a year, so the two are about 7.6 times apart.

Apply the same five times revenue to each, and our calculation gives a company worth $135 million or $1.02 billion. So the rumored $1 billion is about what you get if the monthly figure is right. On the annual figure, the same price would be 37 times revenue. At our assumed 50% stake, that one choice moves his fortune from $67.5 million to about $510 million, which is why our range is so wide. We stop it at $300 million because no document supports the monthly figure. At three times revenue on the lower figure, half of Skool is $40.5 million and the ledger falls to about $42 million, which sets our low end.

A rough floor exists. One trade article says Skool had more than 10,000 paying community owners at its last disclosed count. At the $99 Pro plan, that is about $11.9 million a year in subscriptions, before the 2.9% fee Skool takes on members’ payments. The same article estimates $100 million or more, and its own inputs don’t reach that number. A September 2026 profile lists 30 employees, so at $27 million each person would be carrying about $900,000 in revenue.

Two owners, two revenue numbers for Consulting.com

Ovens has said Consulting.com took in over $100 million in total. The man who now owns it says less: a January 15, 2026 press release says that, according to Iman Gadzhi, it generated $75 million to $80 million over its life. We use $80 million, because a buyer has usually seen the books. Neither figure is audited.

In a 2017 interview, Ovens put 2016 revenue at $18.25 million, mostly from one training program priced under $2,000. By our math that single year is about 23% of the lifetime total, and at under $2,000 a seat it implies roughly 9,000 sales or more. He counted 10,500 customers across all versions of the program in that interview, so the sum is at least in the right area.

The sale itself was odd. One account says he sold to a former student, Rian Doris, in January 2023 and refunded all members of his Quantum Mastermind, a program priced above $10,000. The same blog has Gadzhi buying it from Doris in July 2025, and Gadzhi’s release came the following January. We could only find the buyer’s name on that one blog, so treat it as single-source.

Cheap entry, by design

Skool’s pricing page now lists a $9 Hobby plan with a 10% fee and a $99 Pro plan with a 2.9% fee. One review site reports that custom domains and the affiliate program moved down to the $9 plan in April 2026. Its contest for creators has offered prizes including a McLaren, a small marketing line next to the $16.8 million we assume went into building the product.

What would move the number

A priced funding round, a sale or a filed set of accounts. At our assumed 50%, every $100 million of change in Skool’s value moves his number by $50 million. A confirmed stake below or above half would do nearly as much.
