Born on June 1, 1926, Marilyn was an American actress, model, and singer that became a huge sex symbol after starring in a number of commercially successful films during the 50s and early 60s.
Even though her early film appearances were minor, Marilyn’s performances in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve drew a lot of attention.
Marilyn received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in “Some Like It Hot”, and a BAFTA Award nomination for her appearance in “The Prince and the Showgirl”.
In 1952 Marilyn Monroe caught the attention of the entire United States when nude photos of her were published in a calendar.
