The American actor and race car driver, Patrick Galen Dempsey, is best known for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Sheperd on the medical drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
Born on January 13, 1966, the 48-year-old actor also appeared in several films, like ‘Sweet Home Alabama’, ‘Enchanted’, ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ and ‘Freedom Writers’.
Patrick Dempsey has been married twice. Once, in 1987, when he married actress and acting coach Rochelle Parker, who appeared with Patrick in the film ‘In the Mood’.
They divorced in 1994.
And second, Patrick married his hairdresses. And guess what? She still cuts his hair.
Patrick Dempsey met Jillian Fink when he scheduled an appointment at her salon. They got married on July 31, 1999 and have 3 children : Tallulah Fyfe, and twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen.
He still makes regular appointments at the salon, which we think it’s kind of romantic. Dempsey said : ‘It’s like our date night when we work together because we can talk and don’t have our three kids around‘.
