1. Arenal Volcano National Park, Costa Rica
Visitors call it paradise but the locals call it Arena Volcano National Park, a hidden park in the dense Costa Rican rainforest.
The park is formed from the Arenal Volcano, an active volcano, Lake Arenal where they made a major hydroelectricity project, the Lake Arenal Dam, and the Chato volcano where a lagoon is formed in the crater.
The park is popular for bird watching, more the 850 bird species were identified here including the resplendent quetzal, an endangered species.
The wildlife here is formed also from jaguars, deer, coati, snakes and Capuchin monkeys.
Here you are surrounded by hot springs, rich wildlife forests and hidden waterfalls but also you can visit the Museum of Vulcanicity and the various lodges and hotels who are here to make your stay pleasant.
This little piece of paradise is organized around the active volcano, making it the most unique experience.
So you can be one of the few persons who are inches away from hot lava or take breath taking pictures of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls that were discovered.
