8.Swiss National Park, Switzerland
Our next park on the best national parks tour brings us to Switzerland where we find the first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve on our list.
Also one of the early national parks in Europe, The Swiss National Park was created in an area of 174.2 km² and has strict rules.
According to the specifications of the International Union for Conservation of Nature here you are not allowed to leave the road, take home anything you find there, bring your dog, sleep or make a fire outside the mountain hut created in the park.
For the visitor who go along the road they can stop in Zernez, the national’s park visitor center, a place where get all the specifications and information you need.
Even you are allowed to hunt, mow trail hike or cut even the oldest and most affected trees in the forest, we wanted to show you a one of a kind park, where nature is the most important thing and the visitors have to behave at their best.
