The town located in Verkhoyansky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, is well known for its impressive low winter temperatures and for some of the outstanding temperature differences on the planet between summer and winter.
The population of this town is about 1.311 residents, and apparently, they are not afraid of frost.
The lowest temperature recorded in Verkhoyansk was -93.6 degrees Fahrenheit, the equivalent to -69.8 degrees Celsius.
But the funny part is that in Verkhoyansk summers are pretty hot. The irony.
