Vostok Station is a Russian research station (research includes magnetometry and ice core drilling), located in Princess Elizabeth Land, Antarctica.

With very short and very cold summers and long winters, Vostok Station features an ice cap, very dry climate, with an average of 2.6 millimeters of precipitation per year.

Vostok is at the southern Pole of Cold, and the lowest temperature here was -128.6 degrees Fahrenheit (-89.2 degrees Celsius), recorded on August.
