2Glass Sand Beach, California
One of the most colorful beaches in the world is the Glass Beach, thanks to all that sea glass created from years of dumping garbage.
This beach is located in MacKerricher State Park, near Forg Bragg, California, and was once the dumping ground for Forg Bragg’s waste.
The beach is now covered in the only material that remains, glass.
Smoothed by the sea, the glass provides a sparkling effect.
At Glass Beach there are several protected native plants, like Menzies’ wallflower.
