In 2007, Frank Tujague, a New York City chef working at The Westin New York Hotel, turned a regular bagel into a luxurious, gold infused one.
And we bet it is the priciest bagel New York has ever seen.
Valued at $1.000, the gold bagel was topped with Alba white truffle cream cheese, goji-berry infused Riesling jelly and,of course, golden leaves.
But there’s a tricky part. The bagel is only served during breakfast hours, and don’t you think it’s that easy to grab one.
It must be ordered 24 hours in advance.
