How much is Bryan Johnson worth in 2026?

We estimate Bryan Johnson’s net worth at $340 million. It is a rough estimate: his main assets are private holdings, and only the Braintree payout and the amounts he put in are documented. Public estimates vary.

How Bryan Johnson built it

  • Sold at the right time. PayPal bought Braintree for $800 million in 2013, after he founded it in 2007.
  • Backed science with his own cash. He put $100 million into the OS Fund and $100 million into Kernel.
  • Turned his routine into a business. Blueprint grew from his 2021 project into a company that announced a $60 million round in 2025.

How we got to $340 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Braintree sale, 2013 $300 million PayPal bought Braintree for $800 million in September 2013, according to Fortune. Time reported he walked away with more than $300 million, as Wikipedia notes. Reports do not say whether that is before or after tax. Our assumption: $300 million is roughly what he kept.
Put into the OS Fund -$100 million Wikipedia lists the early-stage science fund he started in 2014 as backed by $100 million of his own capital.
Put into Kernel -$100 million He founded the brain-sensing hardware company in 2016 with $100 million of his own capital.
OS Fund holdings $140 million Our assumption: the $100 million at cost plus $40 million in gains. Nothing public shows the fund’s current value, so this is the least documented row.
Kernel stake $30 million Fortune says outside investors had put in about $53 million by 2020. Our assumption: his stake is worth well under the $100 million he put in, since outside money in Kernel is small by comparison.
Blueprint stake $80 million Dealroom lists a $60 million round in October 2025 at a $240 million valuation. Our assumption: he owns about a third of the company, so $80 million. His real share is not published.
Protocol spending -$10 million Fortune says he spends around $2 million a year on his protocol. Our assumption: five years of that, 2021 to 2026, is $10 million, taken out of the pot.
Total $340 million 300 – 100 – 100 + 140 + 30 + 80 – 10.

Two thirds of the check went back out

Here is our calculation. If Johnson walked away with about $300 million from Braintree and put $100 million into the OS Fund and $100 million into Kernel, then $200 million of $300 million, or 67 percent, went into ventures within three years. His net worth today depends mostly on whether those bets are worth more than he paid. We assume the OS Fund is modestly up and Kernel is well down.

A $60 million round at a $240 million price tag

Blueprint sells products built on his protocol, including a Blueprint Basics subscription that launched in 2024 at $333 a month. Its revenue is not public. Dealroom lists a $60 million round in October 2025 at a $240 million valuation; Wikipedia dates the same $60 million of outside funding to October 2024 while citing a November 2025 piece, so we treat the timing as unsettled. A new chief executive, Gyre Renwick, took over in July 2025, and Johnson now leads product and protocol work. Because the valuation is a single listed number and nothing is known about his ownership share, we assume a third of that price, and the whole row is a rough estimate.

Why other estimates disagree

Some pages count Braintree’s whole $800 million sale price as his. Others ignore the $200 million he moved into other ventures, or give Blueprint a high valuation with no public revenue behind it.

Latest moves

A Netflix documentary about him came out in 2025, but no payment for it is disclosed. Dealroom also lists a further undisclosed investment in Blueprint from North Island Ventures in December 2025, which we do not value.

What moves the figure

A Blueprint sale or a larger priced round would move it most. A new priced round near the reported $240 million would leave our number close to where it is; a valuation of $500 million would add roughly $85 million at our assumed one-third stake.
